One of the best sushi/Japanese restaurants I have ever been to. Service is always great, it is easy on the wallet, and the food is always fresh and excellent.
I purchased the lunch box that included salmon, veggies rice, side salad, sushi roll and miso soup. It was definitely good food and reasonably priced. Two thumbs up!
The sushi was great. And so was the appetizers. The ingredients were top, and the food was fresh. The service was a bit slow, however, it was very chilled and laid back ambience. Loved it, would love to go back.
Been here twice for dinner/date nights, I like to try different sushi each time and different appetizers. I love the atmosphere and the food is super tasty
MALLORY ROLL, I highlight it because it’s most amazing roll in my opinion of course.
The sushi is amazing in this place and very well prepared and cooked. Place is very clean I just would recommend them to renew plates and silverware because of all the wear and tear over time.
Waitress checked in once the whole time, and she was switched while serving us and was disappointed that they didn’t check in but once and it’s not first time there same thing happened last few times. But the sushi is amazing and that’s the reason I go there.
Everything from the food and service has always been top notch here! This Japanese restaurant is a Memphis gem and staple for good reason. If you’re unsure of where to satiate your sushi fix, this is the place. Highly recommend to newcomers and sushi lovers of all sorts. The people here make you feel special and loved with the way they prepare the food and serve you. Photos don’t do this restaurant justice.
Sekisui Pacific Rim is an east Memphis sushi scene, from the food to the ambiance to the service!
FOOD
I can't help but rave about their Redbirds Roll - it's my absolute favorite for 18 years now. It's a meal all in itself. Imagine a California roll with crispy crab inside and cooked shrimp on the top. I also like that is pays homage to our baseball team, the Memphis Redbirds. And the Cucumber Rolls? The freshness and flavor burst in your mouth, truly a refreshing treat, and you feel very light after eating it. Oh, and don't forget have some green tea; it's the ideal way to round off a fantastic dining experience and help you digest the meal.
It's not just the food that makes this place special; Sekisui Pacific Rim goes the extra mile by using eco-friendly paper straws, demonstrating their commitment to the environment and, of course, saving those adorable turtles.
AMBIANCE
The ambiance at Sekisui Pacific Rim is hip and chic. In the back of the restaurant, they have an aquarium that serves as mood lighting along with a massive art centerpiece that adds to the overall charm. The art features throughout the restaurant really set the mood for a unique dining experience.
When it comes to the seating arrangement, their artsy tables and layout also contribute to the cool and contemporary atmosphere. And if you're looking for a more intimate experience, I highly recommend the cozy sushi bar off to the side - it's the perfect spot to watch the talented chefs work their magic.
SERVICE
The staff makes everyone feel like they're at home. I love them and they love people and understand true customer service!
If you like sushi, it's a great date place, a place for a small friend group or even a work meeting.
Top notch sushi, sashimi, drinks, desserts, atmosphere, and service at a fair prices. There is not much else to say. If you want fresh, well prepared, and beautifully presented sushi this is one of the best places in the greater Memphis area.
Stopped in with a party of 5 after the movies around 9pm on a Friday evening. The Sashimi like fresh and delicious. Excellent selection of Sushi 🍣. Loved the Jalapeno, Shrimp 🍤 & Squid 🦑 stir fry. Nice drink menu. Service was outstanding.
I absolutely love this place! It has such a wide variety of food to choose from! Service and atmosphere is GREAT!
The 8 samurai roll and the Diablo were next level. Those shrimp dumplings were on point too!
We came here with our two 6 year olds and really enjoyed the experience. I wouldn't call it a family restaurant (there is no kids menu and there weren't really other kids in the restaurant), but we didn't feel uncomfortable at all. Even without a kids menu, there were plenty of affordable options for the kids. They had edamame, tempura vegetables, and steamed rice and they loved it all. My husband and I had sushi which was really delicious. Service was attentive and fast despite it being busy. We will definitely be back!
