Food was wonderful, and the portions were perfect. The only reason lacking two stars in Atmosphere, the place mats are children activities.

I was surprised to find they did NOT have a weekday lunch buffet. Visited Nov. '23. I did get a lunch special that was outstanding. Very high quality.

Parking was a little hard to find, so we went to the garage around the corner. $5 flat rate. The food was delicious. We got Assorted Snack Appetizer, Chicken Tikka, Lamb Korma, Palak Paneer, Garlic Naan, and Mango Lassi. We showed up at 8pm on a Saturday evening and were the only ones there (by the time we finished it filled out). Decor is sparse and it's not a very big restaurant. There's no Bollywood playing. But none of that matters because the food was so good. The appetizer is a great value as it came with 2 samosas, 2 fried onions, and 2 fried veggie. Crispy, tasty, and a little spicy. The Palak tasted scorched so we told the hostess and a replacement came faster than expected. However, it was a bit bland. This was the only thing we didn't like. The Korma was the star and we would come here again just for that. Prices were appropriate.

Absolutely delicious food every time, the staff is really nice and the menu options are great. In my experience, it's never really super crowded so it's nice for a quieter, more intimate setting compared to the busier areas in Midtown

Grabbed takeout lunch of Saag Paneer, garlic naan and vegetarian Samosa. The Saag Paneer was pretty good, I like my good with a nice kick of spice, which they accommodated. The Samosa was nicely filled and freshly made. Portion-wise I would have liked a little more Saag Paneer but overall it was a delicious lunch. Made me want to try their lunch buffets

I am a regular at Golden India, and for good reason. It's not overly expensive, but it's not exactly cheap. A good amount for the food you get. The atmosphere is quiet and welcoming. It's decorated nicely and doesn't have any overwhelming colors or sounds. The lights aren't harsh. The waiters and waitresses are quick and polite, not a lot of small-talk, which is something I enjoy. The food comes in family-style dishes; folks at the table can pick out what they want instead of getting individual plates. The portions could feed 2 people, 3 if you don't eat a lot; if you order too much, it holds up perfectly fine after being reheated or you can just eat it cold. I always get the paneer masala, which is a predominantly tomato-y dish that goes really good with naan. It's tikka masala, but with homemade cheese replacing the chicken. The naan is thick and filling; one serving is enough for two people. I prefer the garlic naan. If you decide to get takeout, it retains its heat. Overall, excellent everything, definitely recommend if you want Indian food in Memphis.

It was our first time here and it was spectacular. The food and service were excellent. But the waiting time is ridiculous.

Best Indian food I've had, and I've traveled quite a bit. The chicken Tikka Masala is perfection! I will be back weekly for takeout. service was on point, and the place was impeccable, highly recommended. The previous bad reviews are old, there has definitely been a change so don't go by the bitter people's reviews and give this place a chance, you won't regret it.

Indian- Punjabi/ North Indian cuisine restaurant in downtown Memphis(Madison Avenue). The Chai was a bit less boiled to my taste but good. The Dal Makhni and Paneer Masala were good curries. The butter Tandoori rotis were really good too. So overall 4 stars to the food taste and rate wise. Deducting a star for the dim ambiance and less quantity of the curries.
