Really enjoyed this place. Came on a Sunday for brunch. Drinks good. Bloody Mary was delicious. As an appetizer, we got the guacamole that was made fresh right beside the table. They have a patio that is heated. I got the breakfast burrito and friends got steak and eggs and their famous burger. 10/10!

It's kind of expensive for the small portions that give you but I think it's well worth it the food is delicious and authentic. They made fresh guacamole right there on our table and brought us delicious homemade chips. My personal recommendation and favorite food there though is the sweet potato fries with the spicy ranch or the avocado roll.

I'm from Colorado, so I'm skeptical of Mexican items in places like Tennessee, even tacos. But, this place was great! We had table side guacamole, and I had tacos for dinner. They were really good! The service was wonderful, and the waitress had good recommendations. I had the spicy guava rita cocktail, and it was exceptional! My friend had the seasonal sangria, which was linoncello. It was also very good! They also have some southern dishes. If I ever get back to Memphis, I'll be back to this restaurant!

My family enjoyed Mother's Day Brunch with outdoor sitting. We were are a party of seven who each ordered something different as well as some of the adults ordering brunch beverage specials. The beverages were probably enjoyed as much or more than the food. My plate (pictured) was not seasoned with the exception of the gravy which was minimal. Two other brunch choices were barely seasoned as well. Service was good for such a busy day.

This restaurant is amazing!! Pretty cool atmosphere with nice outdoor patio space to enjoy. But the hidden gem here lies in the interesting flavor layering in each and every dish. I have so many favorites but just to call out a few: hot honey shrimp (far exceeds any thing you think you may know about it’s similar companion -bang bang shrimp. This is really off the charts!) Street corn: there is no comparison anywhere!! It is served off the cob so I was wondering if it would be as good but there is none better… with specialty seasonings and gourmet cheese on top! Pork belly taco: simply divine. Not greasy or fatty but rather tender and extremely tasty. This is a must try at under $4. Hint: I changed out the peanut sauce for the cilantro sauce and it is the way to go. Give it a try. Table side guacamole: this will never disappoint :) Blackened salmon: prepared to perfection : flavor game a win! DJ the server is perfect for his role. He is attentive, knows the menu inside and out and even helped me out by suggesting specific sauces for my entrees.

It was my first time there, and it did not disappoint. I have never eaten guacamole, It's because i'm 1 of those people that if it's a certain color, I won't eat or drink it. I tried, and I like 👍. I had the shrimp and grits. I started eating before I realized I needed a picture. I also had a delicious Margarita. Thanks to my best friend 💓 Karen I experienced something new.

I had a pleasant solo lunch experience at the bar. Nice cocktails both visit. The hard taco was very good on my first visit. The second visit a few days later, the shell was a little too crispy but tasty filling. I also ordered the Redfish entree to go. It was very good, spicy and flakey. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, and the crabmeat sauce was delicious over the fish. The bartender Garrett was very attentive and on point. Service was great both visit. I would recommend this restaurant.

Babalu brunch is hit or miss with me sometimes. I ventured out of my usual (I usually come for lunch or dinner) and I probably shouldn’t had lol! Service is decent. The mimosas are under $4 so that’s a WIN and the brunch menu is pretty nice. However the skillet dip is not what you think. It’s NOT dip. It’s really thick, almost solid. I’m giving 4 stars out of 5 because this was one time I didn’t like everything. But trust me, when I get my usual stuff, I’m in HEAVEN. I’ll update my review with the menu items I would highly recommend.
