India Palace

We used DoorDash and our order was never delivered- while waiting for our refund- We called the restaurant. The owner offered to bring our food to us for the inconvenience. The food was delicious. The young man who delivered it was so polite and kind. We really appreciate it. India palace is worth every penny- I highly recommend it! As people staying at Saint Jude’s who are not from Memphis: thank you for showing us some local kindness.

Took my mother here to try out Indian food for the first time as she's been bothering me to try out Indian food. I must say that everything was great with very flavorful, tasty food! Our waiter at the time recommended that we try Chicken Tikka Masala as our first time with garlic naan and we couldn't stop talking about how good it was. We had a good first time experience eating here!

We were in Memphis for 4 days and ate 3 meals here! The food was amazing and service was excellent! It is family run business and they make you feel welcome snd at home! Nan and Roti were piping hot! Loved their daal and keema matar. They also have a lunch buffet worth trying if this is the first time experimenting with Indian food. Will definitely come again👍🏼

One of my favorite restaurants in the city of Memphis!! Excellent Indian food, and there are sundry vegetarian options as well! The lunch buffet could be considered expensive at $15.95, but it is truly worth it as the food is of considerable quality, and with the entrees are priced similarly, go ahead and take the plunge for a Monday through Friday lunch buffet experience.

I stopped by for the lunch buffet around 1pm on a Wednesday. There were four other tables of guests so a good bit of ambient banter going on. I was seated quickly and my drink and some naan were on the table when I returned from the buffet. There were two chicken dishes, two veg dishes and lamb kofta plus veg samosas and the usual chutneys etc. None of the dishes were spicy but after stirring in some of the chili chutney I had a proper sweat occurring. As for dessert, there was kheer, gulab jamun and mango kulfi. The kulfi was the highlight, I had three bowls. Delicious. If I had to complain about anything, I’d say they definitely need to up the spice level all around and please serve the gulab jamun warm, not room temp. At $17.50 including tax for the buffet I’d say it was solid value and I plan to return soon.

We were staying in Memphis downtown and almost all hotels were closed. We took a chance and went to this restaurant and what a pleasant surprise. The naans were soft and buttery , the paneer palak was just right. Mango lassi was awesome. We had such a great time we went back the next day to have tea and samosas .

Food great. Staff great. Honestly wholesome and great experience here, I’ve been to a few other Indian food places and this place is amazing. What I can only presume as the owner came to our table after we had finished eating and asked how we liked our food, and after we said it was amazing, he brought over these amazing FREE mango milkshakes. Great vibes will be back!
