River Oaks - Memphis - Photo album

Great experience! The service was good and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. The drinks were well made. We loved both cheese appetizers, beet salad and all of our entrees. The lamb was especially good. Both desserts were a little of a miss (just comparing to the rest of the phenomenal dinner) but
Great place to grab a drink or to have a romantic dinner, family dinner... Either way, food and drinks are always amazing. I’ve been eating here for years; and quality’s always great. Not your typical restaurant spot, even better. And please, try the ice cream, made from scratch and they are the bes
Exceptional experience at River Oaks Restaurant! Secured a last-minute reservation for a party of 4 at a bar table. From appetizers to entrees and desserts, every dish was not only delicious but also presented with exquisite artistry. A delightful culinary journey that deserves a solid 5 stars!
Nice atmosphere and great service. I had a good French 75, people at my table ordered mojitos and had to ask for simple syrup. TV dinner was great, but it’s different day to day. Other than that, other people at table ordered French dip and the pastrami sandwiches, liked them! Great restaurant overa
I enjoyed the visit here, but I think I need to try it one more time to affirm. The service is good. Portions of food are small, which is usually the case for fine dining. I left perfectly satisfied with leftovers, but if you are used to larger portions, this may not be your spot or order extra. The
For the best fine dining in Memphis, you need look no further. Today was our second trip. The daily fish, Red Snapper, was outstanding! The service is impeccable. I will be going back soon. The customer truly comes first at River Oaks.
Second time eating here, always fantastic service, great atmosphere and delicious and beautifully plated foods. We had my mothers 75th birthday here and we brought our one cake. The restaurant staff also bright the cake out with the candles we brought lit, after blowing out the candles they took the
I just love River Oaks. To be fair, out of the 200 times I've gone, I've gotten the same thing 198 times! The short rib is always amazing! I swap out the potatoes with the cauliflower risotto. OMG! I enjoy sitting at the bar. Very laid back. Every bartender so far have served awesome old fashio
Service was lovely, food was very yummy. We had the herb crusted lamb rack (perfectly cooked just the way I like my lamb), the Monday night special beef bourguignon with fettuccine, and crème brûlée.
Best dinner I’ve had in a long time! Salmon was excellent! My husband had the short ribs, they were great! Salad & dessert was excellent! Chef took the time to speak to us. Would definitely recommend this place! Our server guided us through a great meal.
I have been to Memphis numerous times and passed right by this restaurant. This was my fault. I will add River Oaks to my favorites lost going forward. This is a great cozy restaurant with a menu for everyone. The service was outstanding and the food was even better.
Good place to dine and converse with friends. The Monday special, Lobster and pasta in a light cream sauce was delicious. Others enjoyed the scallops and pasta. Service was great and we could actually hear one another!! Will definitely head there on our next visit to Memphis.
Elegant atmosphere, exceptional service and menu with a nice variety. When I say elegant, I do not mean black tie, but you may feel out of place in shorts and a t-shirt for sure. Food is precise, clean plating and every ingredient has a place/purpose. I love it!!
Very pleasant experience. Excellent service and wonderful food.
I ordered online. Staying next door at the 4points. I walked over 3min early as the instructions did say arrive on time as to keep to their contact limit. I ordered a shrimp salad. It was an interesting take on the shrimp dinner salad. It was packaged great. I waited at the bar and the place is ni
Thoroughly enjoyed. Nice bottle of Belle Glos Pinot Noir, chef's tv dinner, $26 prix fixe with lightly pan fried flounder with lemon sauce, Caesar salad with a grilled shrimp, yummy roasted vegetables ( white beans, Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, potato pocket), and a poached pear with ice cream and n
Magnificent!! We grabbed dinner here with friends and had a great experience. The beer cheese fritters were a great app. I ordered the vegetable plate which came with four vegetables. These weren’t like your “meat and three” vegetables at all. Each one was a carefully designed concoction of vegetab
Great meal. Loved the Chicken Paillard. The bartender was nice, but she had too much going on to give 5 star service.
