My husband and I are from Dallas, TX. Made a reservation 3 weeks before for the afternoon tea at The Peabody Hotel when in town for out Thanksgiving holiday. Arrived and self parked but believe I saw valet was included. No worries, we didn't mind parking ourselves and figured we would ask to be validated for dining there. We parked in the hotel parking garage. Arrived at the restaurant, no issues, were sat very quickly. Enjoyed out afternoon tea service but felt waiter could have done a better job and going over teas and any questions. All our entrees arrived well enough and delicious. I just could not finish my last 2 small pastries. I asked for a box and waiter brought me a small brown recycled material box to do but did not bring the small paper tote with Peabody logo to carry my box like the other table's waiter brought them. Well ok, no big deal I guess, I can hand carry it with no tote paper bag with the cute logo for the place I was excited to see and dine in. My real issue it that when I received the bill for tea service, added champagne glasses, automatic gratuity, taxes, hotel tax, liquor tax and so on..188.00 dollars later was fine. I expected MOST of those fees. While i sat and reviewed our bill, I sent my husband to see the host person who sat us, George, to get my parking ticket validated since the waiter said George would be able to do that for us. Well, George looked at my husband up and down first and then stated well that he will only do it this once since validation is only for dining guests. My husband then stated you just sat us down to eat right there next to the host section as he pointed to our table. George then apologized, I guess for not recognizing him-not real sure and proceeded to enter out parking ticket number in computer to validate. I was very perturbed at the fact that my husband was treated this way after spending almost 200 dollars for teas and cakes. I did bring it up to the hotel check in manager but don't think it was going to be brought up to the food managers like she stated she would-there was two-both names Ashley. I hope George learns how to treat patrons better at this location. Paying or not.

I’ve been to Chez Phillips on a couple occasions - the afternoon tea and the multi-course dinner. Both have been fantastic!!! The afternoon tea was a refreshing experience. We chose our tea and were brought a variety of croissants with butter, pastries, sandwiches, and desserts. We also chose the champagne option which was a great pairing. Dinner was a multi course meal with wine pairings. All the dishes were very artistic, quite the culinary experience. Chris was our waiter both times. His menu, wine recommendations, and personality brought a lot of warmth and fun to each experience!

We had a great time for my birthday celebration! My reservations got mix up and was reserved with another restaurant but the manager Glenn went above and beyond to make sure they could accommodate me and my guest. We were so disappointed thinking we weren't going to get in but Glenn made it happen and put a smile on all of our faces. Thank you so much Glenn! This was a great EXPERIENCE! From the service and the waiter laying our napkins on our laps, the eye contact, everyone was personable, and the food and atmosphere was amazing! I had the scarlet tea and it was delicious. The afternoon tea is a must! Try it. You won't be disappointed. Such a fun and elegant time for our girls day out. We had tea the proper way! 😊😌💅🏾😆

Excellent dining experience! We had the Chef’s Tasting Menu and it was 8 courses in total. We also did the wine pairing and each wine paired beautifully with the dishes. Service was also fantastic. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Such a cute place! We came for afternoon tea and had a wonderful time. It is a bit pricey but worth it if you’re trying to get the full Memphis experience. They have a variety of teas available with finger foods. Our server Hubert was great! If you go here, try to go close to 11 or 5 so you can catch the duck march. Definitely worth staying for! It gets crowded in the lobby so arrive early.

This was the first time that i tried afternoon tea at the Peabody and it was so enjoyable. I enjoyed a glass of champagne, a scone, tea sandwiches, bite size desserts as well as the chocolate chai. Everything was so delicious. I really enjoyed the coconut macaroons and the chicken curry salad in the croissants. The dining room was very elegant. I will definitely returning for afternoon tea in the future. Our service was excellent.

We went for Afternoon Tea at Chez Phillipe. We had a great time as usual. Perfect Sunday outing! 👌🏾 The crab salad and curry chicken salad are among my favorites in the savory course. I really like the salmon mousse, but I feel like it needs to be served on something crunchy. Sorry, I ate my scone before I realized I didn't get a picture of it! 🙈 It was so good! It's always my favorite course! I mean, a warm, delicious cranberry scone topped with cinnamon and sugar and served with clotted cream and homemade strawberry jam... you can't really blame me, right? 🤷🏾‍♀️ I was actually full by the time the desserts came out. I did manage to take a bite of my opera cake though. So good! For my tea, I tried the Chocolate Chai for the first time and it was better than I expected. I added milk and honey and it was perfect! The Peach Blossom, Blueberry Rooibos, and Scarlet are also among our top favorites! I also need to just add a shout out to the Duck Master, Kenon! He was a phenomenal tour guide and I learned so much about The Peabody's History!

My daughter and I came for afternoon tea, and we had such a delightful experience. We we greeting and seated quickly, and our host was friendly and accommodating to my daughter's 6 month old who was with us. Our waiter, Chris, was great. And what we came for - the 3 course tea - was simply delicious. So, if you're going for the tea, and are worried that it won't be enough food, it was! We ended up not being able to tackle the 3rd course.

My party of 2 visited Chez Philippe for the Afternoon Tea. We made reservations a couple of weeks ahead of time and barely got in. Upon arrival, we were led to a cute, cozy corner table with plush seating and pillows. The waiter was very nice and informative, explaining the various teas that we could choose from. The food was plenty, starting with a variety of sandwiches followed by a mouthwatering blueberry scone and various desserts. The sandwiches and scones were definitely the highlight. The desserts left some things to be desired, but that’s okay because we were already full by that point. I chose the chocolate chai tea and the other guest had the mystic mint. They were both really good. The tea is unlimited, however you need to allow ample time for it to steep after they refill the water. The price of the tea also includes valet parking, which is an added bonus. The tea is a must do in my opinion.

My friends and I enjoyed afternoon tea at Chez Philippe and had a lovely experience. Our server, Jonathan, was very attentive and informed. We loved the variety of teas and the delicious food. The chicken salad sandwiches and blueberry scones were amazing! I would love to experience this High Tea again! FYI: Reservations are needed and should be made far in advance.
