Such a creative menu. Got the General Tso cauliflower, the bao bun chicken, and the duck patty melt. And oh those homemade and seasoned fries!!! It was all outstanding and the popcorn they brought to the table for us to have was soooooo good! We were vacationing and only wish we lived closer so that we could return to try more!!!

This place is turning into one of my faves! The atmosphere is great. There’s a lot of spots to get a nice picture. They offer ample seating choices; from the bar, patio, table etc. Parking is on the street! Be careful not the park in the parking lot on the side of the building, as that is private parking. For food, they have so many options, and everything tastes amazing. The general tso cauliflower is A MUST TRY! It’ll have you thinking about going vegan! The curry chicken and duck fried rice are also two of my faves. Banana foster dessert was like heaven! The drinks were A1. I tried my first espresso martini here and wow! All I can say is the bartender set the bar very high! I’m excited to go back and see what else their menu has to offer.

Atmosphere is chill music playing but you can still have a conversation. Service was excellent (Hugo). The Duck Rice was delish if just a touch salty. Husband got the Lola Bowl and what I tasted was VERY YUMMY. I got the Curry Bowl…if I was at home I would have licked the plate clean 😜. It was SO FLAVORFUL. The Wise Old Sage cocktail is 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽if you enjoy tequila. Would love to visit again if we have the time.

I love eating at SOB when we visit Memphis. A hidden gem, you'll thank me when your check comes! My favorite dish is the Mushroom Pasta😍 The philly cheese steak egg rolls are delicious. Having philly cheese steaks on a regular growing up, they pressure

SOB Downtown was a great place for dinner. We had a private dining experience which we were treated like royalty. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and provided the best recommendations for our meals. Our appetizers were absolutely delicious and could have been the main course. The Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls and General Tso Cauliflower are a must have. The complimentary popcorn can get you into trouble as well because it is seasoned. You want to eat it all. The main course was delicious as well. I had the Salmon with seasonal vegetables. Seasoning and flavor was just right and delicious. I definitely recommend SOB Downtown as an option off the path of Beale Street and along the charming historic downtown path. You can even see a trolley car pass along.

We picked this partly because you can make online reservations. We had a show to catch at The Orpheum at 7:30, and I wanted to make sure wherever we decided to eat was within walking distance of the show and there wouldn't be too long of a wait. Reservations seem to be becoming a thing of the past, so I was thrilled to be able to book a table online. The service and the food was SOO good. The server brought us a small bowl of savory popcorn while we waited for our family to meet us. It was YUMMY. The drinks were large and plentiful (I hate skimpy drinks) and the food was excellent. Everything about the evening was fantastic. 🥰 P.S. Don't miss the General Tso's Cauliflower -- OMG

The popcorn that they give you upon seating is divine! Very well seasoned and very easy to make vanish before you realize how much of it you ate! lol We ordered the chicken bao and an SOB burger for each of us. The burger was pretty good, and the server explained the sauce as “basically Big Mac sauce”, which seemed correct. The bao was interesting. I think between the kimchi, pickles, and hot sauce there was bit too much acid. The chicken needed salt which could easily be solved with a brine. It also needs some sort of fatty component to cut through all the sharper components. I also thought the kimchi could have fermented a bit longer. It was still kinda dense. I forgot to snag a photo before we took them off the plate so there’s only one in the picture but it comes with three 😂 Overall, good place and we’ll probably stop by again.

Absolutely amazing! After cruising Beale St and realizing that wasn't the place for us, we found this gem just a couple blocks south. Trendy atmosphere, fancy drinks, and delicious food.

Found this place because it was a short walk from our hotel. It has a nice, quaint ambiance, good for many types of outings. The dining room isn't huge though, so make a reservation. The food was amazing. Our server Hugo was a gem. For drinks, my wife had The People's Elbow, and I had the Bittersweet Symphony. Both were enjoyed very much. For food, my wife had the duck confit fried rice, which she raved about. I had the Pasta del Diablo, which was good, and actually wasn't that spicy. For dessert, we did the Jack & coke bread pudding, which is some of the best bread pudding anywhere around. We were so full, we were more than happy to walk back to our hotel to walk some of it off. I'd highly recommend to anyone visiting Memphis!

Fantastic food. This was the best meal we had in Memphis. The cauliflower is exceptional. The mushroom pasta and salmon dishes were also excellent. Hugo was very informative on the history of the restaurant. I heartily recommend visiting if you are in Memphis.
