Stopping into Memphis the first time and had to try the best barbecue Memphis had to offer according to the web. The outside of the place is nothing to write home about, but don't judge a book by its cover. Loved the ribs. Loved the whole BBQ chicken wings. The slaw was great. The beans were fantastic. The whole chicken was well cooked and well seasoned on the skin but I needed more sauce. The sliced pork shoulder to me was odd. I've never seen it done that way. It was good but it wasn't pulled pork obviously. It was lightly smoked. But the sauce was great on it, spicy. All in all the food was excellent and the sweet tea was great. The interior seating was cafeteria style as expected in an awesome barbecue place. plenty of napkins each table and all was pretty clean. The ordering of the food was efficient and the employees were pleasant. The management was great when we had a slight issue with our order they quickly took care of the issue. I love this place and I would go back when in town.

Excellent food. I had 1/2 chicken with mild sauce, barbecue beans, potato salad, sliced bread, and sweet tea. The outside is dated but quaint. Lots of people coming and going and enjoying the food on a busy Saturday afternoon. Too full for dessert

Okay, so I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised by the changes made to this establishment. I hadn't been here in years and I am pleased that it has survived the many ebbs and flows of the neighborhood. Cool. We each tried something different and each had varied pleasure results. My husband LOVED his ribs. Per him, they were well seasoned, tender and plated beautifully. As for my rib tips?? The first bite had me hooked until I continued to eat. They became less flavorful, less meaty, less tender and more bones! Would I go back? Yes, bc I did taste the ribs and they were delicious! And the people were friendly and salt of the Earth goodness!

When I say these are the best ribs I’ve ever had (besides my mom’s) I am not exaggerating! This BBQ joint is amazing, I am so glad I was able to eat here. I was passing through Memphis and craving BBQ so a friend recommended this place. Thank goodness they did! I ordered a full slab of ribs, pork nachos, bbq beans, and bbq spaghetti. Everything was amazing, even the queso dip that went with the nachos! The ribs were juicy, meaty, fatty, and falling off the bone. The pork from the nachos was so good. The bbq beans stole the show; the flavor was so complex and deep. The bbq spaghetti was so interesting. The sweet tea was addicting. Additionally, the service was friendly, helpful, and quick. I got there right before the lunch hour so there were only 3 people in front of us in line. The line moved quickly so we weren’t waiting long at all. The food around 5 minutes to be ready, very speedy. I highly recommend this place and will absolutely go back next time I’m in Memphis!

Showed up at dinner rush and was told about a 30 minute wait for ribs so we ordered both ribs and wings so we had something to eat while we waited. Wait time was pretty accurate, it really did take 30ish minutes but they were really good. Good prices. Large portions. The decor was lacking not that it matters too much. But literally just a bunch of nonmatching tables and chairs in the back. It's all good, they focus on the food!

I was in Memphis to go to st Jude's and my uber driver recommended this spot. We took a detour and passed by the location which looked rundown but the smell wafting through the air told a different story. When I sat down in that restaurant and took my first bite of the ribs, I had a near religious experience. I took a bite of the chicken and that's when I realized bbq back home will forever be ruined for me. Where do i start with the food. The smokiness. The Memphis rub they use. The tenderness. The hot bbq sauce they slather everything in. The flavor explosion was overwhelming. I laid awake that night thinking about it. I went back the next day and got some more of it. The portion size isn't as large as some other bbq spots but the flavor can't be matched. I tried the sides and honestly it's not the best. The bbq spaghetti was bad, the cole slaw wasn't good. The potato salad is good and the beans were not bad. The sweet tea is really good, the caramel cake is really good and the ice cream is decent. Again, the meats are definitely the show stealers. I picked the bones clean! Overall a part of me wishes I never came here. I'm writing this review and I already want to go back and I know I won't be able to enjoy bbq like this back home in NY.

After raving about the amazing BBQ at Rendezvous, a Memphis staple, a local chimed in with a golden tip: "If you really want the best BBQ in Memphis, you have to check out Cozy Corner." And she was absolutely right! Cozy Corner Restaurant, tucked away in the heart of Memphis, is a true culinary treasure, especially renowned for its mouth-watering ribs, creamy mac and cheese, and divine banana pudding. As soon as you enter Cozy Corner, the aroma of ribs smoked to perfection hits you. These ribs are nothing short of spectacular – tender, juicy, and coated in a rich, flavorful sauce that strikes the perfect balance between sweet and smoky. It’s clear why they’ve become a favorite for both locals and visitors alike. The sides at Cozy Corner are equally impressive. The mac and cheese is the epitome of comfort food – creamy, cheesy, and utterly satisfying, making it the perfect companion to the bold flavors of the BBQ. And then there's the banana pudding. Oh, the banana pudding! It's so light, yet rich, with just the right amount of sweetness. It's the kind of dessert you'd happily eat by the gallon, a perfect end to a hearty meal. Cozy Corner offers more than just fantastic food; it's about the whole experience. The atmosphere is as warm and inviting as the staff, making you feel like part of the family. Whether you're a Memphis local or just passing through, a visit to Cozy Corner for some of the city's best ribs, mac and cheese, and banana pudding is an absolute must. This place truly lives up to the hype and then some!

Awesome bbq!! The bbq beans were delicious. I had the half chicken with mild sauce and it was perfect. I would recommend this bbq place to anyone. Great place. Off the path a little bit but worth it.

47 years, same location, Saturday at 12 the parking lot is full. Got in line and had my order placed in a few minutes and watched a steady stream of people picking up to go and the dining room filled up quickly. I ordered both the sandwich and the ribs and that was a great decision. Picked the medium sauce which has a very slight ‘zing’ to it. Well pleased. Topped that off with a shared slice of sweet potato pie and that made a perfect lunch. Great service by Isiah. I’ll be back.

Friendly faces! Great BBQ full of flavor! Reasonably priced! If you want Ribs I advise going early or during non-peak hours. These go quickly. Fortunately they started selling more as we were eating so we took a half slab to go. I loved the Chicken! All the sides were good. Sweet potato pie was OK.
