The Refuge is conveniently located right off the 495 in Melville. They have a beautiful outdoor patio with live band. You will enjoy your time here. The nachos taste amazing and it even has generous portions of short rib, beans, jalapeños, and cheese. Have a drink, eat some food, sit back and relax. This is an excellent place to step away from the busy city streets and simply relax.
Very nice place with really unique decor and ambiance. Food was good and yes could be a bit better… chicken and waffles was not hot.. seemed to have waited a bit more than usual to be picked up by waitier but the pizza was delicious loved the thin crust …Outside looks bc like a great night out spot it was just too hot to eat out when we were there but truly a gem of a spot😎😎

We were a large party and had a nice time. The appetizers are great to share. The meals were generous portions. As a group, we enjoyed ourselves.
BEST BABY SHOWER! They went above and beyond for us. We had the outdoor space. We are still getting compliments on the food and cake. The banquet director, Billy was amazing and so easy to work with. He accommodated everything we asked for and did little things to make me feel special (it was also my bday). The maitre d was also fantastic. I have nothing but positive feedback. Great vibes!
This is definitely a hopping place!!! Everything was great, but the reason for the 4-star atmosphere is because it can be a little loud.. Food and service outweigh the loudness for sure! Great place for a party as well! They have 2 separate rooms for parties up to 150 people or can rent entire place at certain times..Money per person obviously depends upon what you are getting..if you include apps, drinks, and main meal, it will be approx. $60..the prices are reasonable..
Loved the food and the wait staff here. Such a fun, warm and unique environment. And loved my frose slushie! Can’t wait to have my rehearsal dinner here before my wedding. We’re all staying at the Melville Marriott so it’s super close and convenient for family members.
I went to the Refuge for an early dinner with a company of friends and was glad that we choose this place. It has a bit of unusual decor and a pleasant atmosphere. The service was very friendly and they accommodated all of our special requests.
The food was good and the portions are large.
I am not giving this place five stars because the menu is too eclectic for my taste and I didn't find many dishes that I would want to try there.
First thing to mention is definitely how incredible the place looks both inside and out. They've nailed the style they were trying to achieve.
The food and service were great. Be sure to plan ahead and make reservations, I was not expecting it to be as busy as it was, luckily we were able to sit at a high top.
Would definitely come back again.
The food is stunning! Cool atmosphere. Great cocktails. The staff is friendly and you can see enjoy working there, which says A LOT about the venue, management & team. It's an Italian/Mexican menu, which should not work, but it really does! (Side note: We're having our wedding here that's how much we love it!)
A++ 🇺🇸🤘🏳️🌈
Edit: Our wedding was absolutely amazing! We barely ate but many, many guests raved about the food and the design of the venue. Bill, the catering manager, is an excellent person and really went out of his way to make sure we were happy. We were married on site & included an after-party in our package. It was an absolutely wonderful experience!
Good service, delicious food, healthy portions. We came for a late lunch and sat outside. Service was good but a tad slow. The fried was delicious! And the portion sizes were large. Overall a good experience. Glad we went.
