Hatch'd

I just finished 12hrs shift in the vaccination clinic and too tired to cook dinner, me and my partner decided to grab dinner from Hatch’d. I noticed they were cleaning up already but the nice lady still took my order. Another man was there cleaning the shelves and asked if I was a nurse and spoke with the lady. Later on they told me I worked hard and dinner is on the house. I was moved and was teary eyed. I told them I can pay but decided to accept their kindness. I know they didn’t make much since its lockdown. Zizi (idk if i spelled your name right) and Azem, thank you so much! by the way, your grilled chicken really reminds me of home (Dubai) and Hatch’d will always be me and my partner’s go to place for grilled chicken!

This place used to be a great place to catch a quick bite of delicious Charcoal Chickem and Chips. However, the visit today was a complete disappointmenr, as the Chicken was Dry, Chips portion was small and very dry, as for the serve of Mediterranean Salad was also very small and Bland, tasteless. This place used to be known for its generous portions and Juicy Charcoal Chickens.

This used to be the best roast chicken shop within a 10km radius. Great food great service and well priced. The last 2 visits have been very disappointing though! One of the staff tells me there is a new owner. Could be that, or simply the owner made some changes. Prices have gone up so drastically that it's no longer good value for Money. The food hasn't been as good lately either. Unfortunately it's no longer a favorite spot for us. Would much rather drive a few extra minutes to Sydney Rd for a better chicken roast and better prices.

My favourite local charcoal chicken joint. With decadent gravy, crunchy chips and a enviable selection of salads to go along with your chicken, it's an easy option for someone who enjoys variety in their meal. With the pandemic and Ubereats ripping into owner's prices, the hike is definitely worth it to support my local. Stay strong!
