Queen Caterina Pizza

Came here on a Friday night and was lucky to get one of the free tables outside. Ordered a half Aussie/half originale, the toppings and presentation wise it looked great. But there was one glaring weakness that stopped me from giving full marks - the base was probably undercooked and because of that broke very easily when I picked up a slice (see second last photo). Made it hard to pick up and eat. Once it was in my mouth, delicious. Nice accommodating staff.

Update July 2022 Unfortunately the original owners sold this business around 9 months ago. For the first 3-4 months post sale, the quality of the pizzas remained to the same high standard. Unfortunately now, its degraded and I would not recommend this place. It's sad, this was per my original review a world class pizza place. Original Review from 2020 These pizzas are world class, the pizza base is perfect and so tasty and the toppings are fresh and generously applied. The service from the team is first class. Try their homemade desserts, their Tiramisu and chocolate mousse are to die for. This is one of the hidden gems in East Melbourne, it’s worth driving here from other suburbs, the pizza is that good!

The food arrived cold due a lack of drivers. I tried calling yo arrange a pick up instead but no one answered. Given the lack of delivery people and the 15 wait for someone, it would have been appropriate to start the order again so it was fresh and reasonably warm. Pizza and garlic focacia were cold and no warmth to them. Very disappointed.

Great pizza for local delivery in East Melbourne area. Have tried a few of the pizzas and all of the salads - favorites so far are the Aussie pizza and the Caprese salad. The online ordering system had some glitches so I had to call them directly to order, but the service was very friendly. Recommended!
