Smokey's All American Bbq

5 Star experience on our visit. Lots of United States memorabilia on the walls a nice welcome when we walked through the door. All the staff (kitchen included) were exceptional all evening and it's the little things, like a cold bottle of water at the table just minutes after sitting down without having to ask. A dropped knife was replaced within seconds, with a replacement wrapped in a napkin, displaying good attention to their customers. The family ordered the milkshakes and wow! large, Ice cold and very delicious. For those who like US shakes without WHIP, these are awesome. The ribs and brisket were great. Slightly smaller than what you can get in the United States however, a good size for what is expected in Australia and they have a great sauce. We were provided with an additional plate for a child to share the combination of ribs and Brisket, rather than the need to order a full size adult meal. This meal also got a big thumbs up on the night. To the young man arriving at 6.00 who entered the kitchen and dropped his jumper and went straight to wash his hands, you have displayed good food preparation culture is alive and well in this restaurant. Sometimes you get what you pay for and we came away very satisfied.

Spontaneous visit for lunch on the way to the shops. Loved it. The service was very warm and friendly. Made us feel right at home. The food was really well presented and tasted great. Freshly prepared with attention to detail. The ribs tasted just like in America - maybe a bit more refined - and it was quite a generous portion for the reasonable price. Definitely coming back.

The mob feast was great value for money + good service. The brisket could use a good spice rub but was still tender and tasty. The ribs are fantastic along with the mac & cheese. My only real "gripe" was the music playing - some blues or country would go a long way to suit the decor and vibe of the place.

Unpretentious, hearty meals with chilled out staff and overall vibe. We had the Pork rib rack was delicious and a very generous serving, as well as the salmon. Unfortunately the salmon was a touch overdone and the ribs could have been a couple of degrees hotter, but the chips were hot and the ribs bbq sauce was delish! Also an impressive array of US whiskey on offer! Must comment on the fact that there was only one option for cider which was a bit of a downer. Overall, nice place, would return.
