We came here because of the good reviews and found it extremely disappointing. The place must have been sold to new owners since the good reviews and the new guys barely know what they’re doing. Pictured is the big breakfast - the toast was dry, cold and not actually toasted (I paid extra for avocado, thank goodness as it made it palatable), I got 2 tiny leaves of lettuce to qualify the ‘salad’, 3 tiny mushrooms and the halloumi was completely over cooked and chewy. My mum’s ‘tomato medley’ came with one small tomato cut in half. My dad got the smoked salmon and there was barely enough food to cover both pieces of (dry) toast. Meals came out at all different times and the coffees were lukewarm. Friendly waitresses, not their fault - just an appalling lack of effort from the kitchen. Do not bother.

Amazing food, presentation outstanding, the chef's knows their products, which is awesome. Their sweets like cookies, muffins, cakes are freshly made everyday. Coffee was delicious and service was really great, very attentive and friendly staff, always welcoming. They have fresh juices, and milkshakes. I highly recommend this place.

Very good experience. Came here with my 1yo son who made a mess of the place but staff were so friendly about it, coming over to chat to us and make us feel comfortable and welcomed. It made a stressed-out mom much more relaxed and happy which was so important for us. They even made my son a complimentary babycino which was such a pleasant surprise. Definitely will come back, good job for such great service.

i am leaving this review very reluctantly because i know how hard it is to be in the hospitality game in 2022, but at the same time, it also takes a lot courage for a kitchen to serve customers with food of such poor quality. It is way below the average (the price is definitely still Lygon St price). I hope the owner can read this review and actually do something about it.

We have been there a few times for take-away coffee and it was ok. Sometimes the coffee was good, sometimes it was too milky. Our dine-in experience, however, was bad. The food served did not have the ingredients described in the menu. The smoked salmon came without capers, fetta and asparagus; the heritage tomatoes came without fetta and tomatoes. If the kitchen does not have the ingredients to deliver the food, this should be informed to the customer when the order is being made, so we can choose something else. Overall, stick with the takeaway coffee and sandwiches and you will be fine.

What a well laid out cafe with black and green hues. Greenery is spread out throughout the cafe. We ordered a cold which was so refreshing and smoothe to the palate The staff were so helpful with choosing a fruit juice which we got a carrot, ginger and apple mix. So refreshing and cooling for hot days Haven't tried the food but drinks are good here
