Balderdash Cafe

Decided to try this cafe on a whim today, as I work nearby and really fancied a reuben sandwich. Fortunately, Balderdash does one and it was absolutely delicious! Also tried their soy mocha, which was also very good. Atmosphere is light and relaxed and the service staff are very friendly. Also briefly spoke with the owner, Viv, when paying the bill - she was lovely and I could really see the passion she has for making this cafe as good as it can be (having taken it over from the previous owner last year). Was my first visit here, but definitely won't be the last - look forward to popping back again soon and trying some other items from the menu.

Fantastic service and yummy food! A group of young people with so much energy and ideas, they were my life savers when I just rocked up asking for 6 quick take - away for my clients, when the catering company forgot about my order. Everything was done within 15 mins and they even helped me delivered to the clients (walked with me all the way with the food)! Lovely local cafe that you just need to visit for a relaxing and yummy breakkie / lunch or simple snacks!

Went to Balderdash the morning after I landed in Melbourne—perfect place to get back into the brunch lifestyle! Best coffee and best chai (also one of the few places that actually does an iced chai). Food is delicious, satisfying and fairly priced. The owners are lovely and make everyone feel at home! Definitely a favourite.
