Went there today for lunch with my wife. The smells that hit your nose when you walk in are absolutely amazing! The restaurant is ran by a family that obviously knows what they're doing, The waitress was prompt, polite, and on top of making sure our visit was top notch. The hot appetizer platter was a fantastic option to try the different flavors they have. The potato's are out of this world! My wife ordered the grill sampler for lunch, which came with Sirloin, Chicken, and Kafta (beef). The flavors of everything were different from everything I've ever had at other international restaurants. The portions are perfectly filling, but not so that you feel lethargic when you leave. I had the Kafta plate- The meat was tender, juicy, and delicious! Presentation was beautiful, and combinations of flavours were divine. We WILL be going back again, and doing our best to make our way through their menu. If you like supporting family run businesses, and enjoy trying something different from the typical "American Cuisine", DEFINITELY give this place a chance. The Duo on the grill will knock your socks off, and you'll leave a happy person with a new experience of flavor!

of a Google Review for Aya Mediterranean Cuisine. I had an incredible dining experience at Aya! The food was simply outstanding, bursting with authentic Mediterranean flavors that delighted my taste buds. The staff was warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend trying their dishes; you won't be disappointed!

This place should be busier than it was on the Friday we went there! It’s so good! It’s a family run business. The father cooks and the daughters were the servers. All very friendly and attentive. I had Ziad’s special cooked by Ziad himself. Delicious! The hummus appetizer was great and the baklava was yummy. Prices are reasonable and we got a complimentary Lebanese coffee after the meal. There are vegetarian options which my wife had but I opted for the special. I highly recommend and will 100% return!

We stopped here passing through downtown Melbourne and were pleased to find such a wonderful Mediterranean restaurant! The space was great, not too crowded for lunch. The food was delicious. I recommend the lamb tagine or the gyro platter. The service was wonderful as the waitress was attentive and kind. We'll definitely be back when we pass through again!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Aya Mediterranean Cuisine. I was absolutely blown away by the food, service, and atmosphere. The food was absolutely authentic and delicious. I started with the cold mezze platter, which was a feast for the senses. The hummus was creamy and flavorful, the baba ghanoush was smoky and eggplanty, and the tabbouleh was fresh and light. I also had Gyro Platter. The meat was so flavorful, and the pita was wonderful. The service was outstanding. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He made sure that we had everything we needed, and he was happy to answer any questions we had about the food. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting. The walls were decorated with traditional Moroccan and Lebanese artwork, and the lighting was soft and warm. The restaurant was not too crowded, so we felt like we had our own little corner of the world. Here are some specific things I loved about my experience: The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The restaurant is family-owned and operated, which I always appreciate. I would definitely recommend Aya Mediterranean Cuisine to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Mediterranean meal. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!

Very delicious and authentic Lebanese and Moroccan food. The hot mint tea was delicious as well and the baked bread was fresh. Will definitely come back and enjoy other selections!

The owners are so sweet, welcoming and warm - you will want to be back to this family-run place as often as possible.

Absolutely delicious, and the family that runs it is so nice. Highly recommend checking out this new Lebanese restaurant! Update after one year: This restaurant started off about a year ago with outstanding service and food, and now they have clearly found their stride. We visited with my parents, and ordered the Lamb Tagine, two gyro wraps, salads, humus, and tabbouleh. Every appetizer single dish was made if superb quality produce and ingredients, and one of the family's sisters who served us took extra time and care to walk us through the meal options. Of particular note was the Lamb Tagine. Wow. Truly, I've never tasted anything quite like that in my life. The lamb was perfectly slow cooked (delivered by the Chef even), and melted on the tongue. The combination of sweet and savory ingredients was unlike anything else I have tried in any middle eastern cuisine. Do yourself a favor, make a priority to visit for a quick lunch, or for a family dinner or date night. This restaurant is excellent for a delicious and healthy quick mid-week lunch, or for a unique fine dining experience. I suspect Aya will become a long-staying fixture in downtown Melbourne and very unique and special addition to our city. Thank you for the phenomenal dishes and service!
