Restaurant 45

I take myself to be sort of picky when it comes to dining out, and I was pleasantly surprised with the food at 45. It was timely, correct, and very decent. The passion fruit cosmo was 🤌. Portions are ridiculous for the price (what's the overhead here?!) And our waitress was great. Everything came out perfectly. Only comment would be the decor; why the total blackness everywhere? Overall great family spot.

Frankly Disappointed. Have been going there for many years for family dinners which we've always enjoyed. 1st time back in a few years. Took my friend out for an early dinner. Shared the beet salad w/ my husband, it was adequate but nothing special. I had the muscles which were good & he had broiled fish which he described as "meh". My friend ordered stuffed mushrooms & R. I. calamari appetizer for her entree. I thought the mushrooms were lacking crab & flavor in the stuffing. Her calamari was bland & not at all crispy, but soggy & greasy, & if not for the extra peppers she requested would have been unappealing all together. I had really talked up the restaurant and how much we enjoy the food, so was pretty disappointed to have a mearly adequate dining experience. Hopefully it was a 1x thing & our next meal will be back to the typical delicious food we're accustomed to.
