We enjoyed a delicious dim sum lunch on a day trip to Media. We sampled all our favorite dumplings, from shrimp har gow to pork buns (char shiu bao) and pork shui mai. Their crab and cheese puffs were light and nicely crunchy. The service was fast and courteous, and the prices were reasonable. We appreciated the photos in their menu which illustrated popular dim sum varieties. They are centrally located on State Street in downtown.

🥢 Tom’s Dim Sum - Media. We’ve so missed Dim Sum since it seems like the ones we like don’t have outside seating. It turned out that today (Saturday) State St in Media is closed to traffic which means that a bunch of the restaurants have outside tables. 🦐 We ordered the spicy shrimp, broccoli beef, chicken soup dumplings, crystal shrimp and shrimp dumplings…. And a crepe like beef dish, I forgot the exact name. Everything was good but my spicy shrimp is one of the best shrimp dishes I’ve had at a looong time… it is PUNISHINGLY spicy 🌶 but I was in this kind of mood so even though I was breathing an inferno later it was DAMM good! Despite it being a Saturday night, service was mostly good. Usually on Wednesday nights there is Dining under the Stars on State street in Media and on occasional Saturday nights they do this (not sure if it’s posted in advance or what the deal is). Normally, I’m not very enthused about eating on a street but there was quite the lively street scene and great people watching ( I saw kids doing cartwheels in the street!) 🎉 Insiders Tip. Take the kids to either the Tot Lot or Media Elementary School playground before or after a meal, both walking distance away… for dessert go to Scoops Ice Cream ( which we would normally do but it was getting too late for us). A great evening! 🥟

This is my favorite place to eat in Media. The food is amazing, but the top notch service (extremely kind staff), nice decor, and great location will have you coming back for more. The prices are also right on for what you're ordering. All the dumplings we tried were excellent along with some of their other menu items like pork fried rice. Overall I'm very impressed with this place and highly recommend it - just be sure you don't confused this is restaurant with the similarly named one a few doors down. PS: their food is still amazing even for takeout and delivery!

We eat at Tom's all the time! Service is quick and everyone is always very nice. Our favorite dish is the chongqing chicken and obviously the soup dumplings are very good. Highly recommend.

This place is a food gem. The place is small but cute and offers great quick service. The food was delicious. They start you off with tea. We the ordered the pork soup dumplings which my family absolutely loved as as an app along with the cheese wontons and spring rolls. My hubby ordered the braised pork ball, my son the sesame chicken, my daughter noodles, and I ordered the fried tofu. All the entrees except the noodles come with tasty white rice.every single dish was so enjoyable and fresh. We are def going back before our stay in Media is over. If you are in town, this place is a must.

Great food, excellent service, relatively quite and cozy inside. What more could you ask for? We stopped in about 1:30 for a late lunch. Got seated within 3-minutes. Almost immediately a server put water and hot tea on the table. Ordered several dim sum that where served as they were prepared and ready. At a small table for two, this makes perfect sense too avoid clutter on the table. Empty plates were almost immediately cleared. Prices are very reasonable! The scallion pancake was one of the best we've had.
