Fun place for dinner in a cute downtown. The service was great, felt like we were welcomed into their home. Wine, food and service was great. Wales the downtown area after dinner, had a great time.
I had the ribeye, mash potatoes, Martini - all excellent options. We had oysters and cheese truffle spread - excellent!
Dessert was great - not sure what it was but it was great.
We had another fantastic dining experience here. We got the fondue along with a duck dish and and chicken dish that were both excellent but the duck dish was the better of the two. We also got the creme brulee dessert and a lovely bottle of wine for the dinner. There is a huge wine list and we got an excellent suggestion from the owner on a bottle that went with what we ordered.
Enjoyed a lovely fresh tasting meal.
Saffron aioli for fries was something new and delicious.
Pan roasted chicken was perfectly cooked; juicy!
Staff were friendly and on point for requests and questions.
Sat on the patio.
Street parking.
Sooooo romantic .. I love Bistro Maison! It's spendy but worth it !
A delightful French dining experience in downtown McMinnville. Recommend the charcuterie starter and steak au poivre with frites. Amazing dessert options. Nicely curated wine list, as you would expect. The staff was attentive and the garden setting was charming.
I enjoyed my time at Bistro Maison so much, that I ate there two days in a row. It was absolutely fantastic. The first night, I had the rib eye steak with peppercorn sauce, and duck fat fries. Delicious. The second night, I wanted something a bit lighter, so I had a cup of vegetable-based, French Onion soup and a Frisee salad; also delicous.
The entire staff was very friendly and service-oriented. Extra special shout out to Carise, who expertly paired wines from their huge list to meet the needs of my meal. Additionally, she is quite possibly one of the most pleasant people I've met in quite some time. Generally a very nice person. I would go back simply to chat with her.
Highly recommend.
I returned to Bistro Maison in May 2021 during a Wine Tour of the Willamette Valley. I have to say that this the best restaurant I've been to in Oregon, and one of the top-3 restaurants I've been to over my lifetime. Yes, it's that good.
This time, I had the Oysters with the Bloody Mary Granita, and they were crazy good. Spiralized beet salad with hearts of palm, and crazy goat cheese was crazy good. I loved the hanger steak frittes, paired with a great, local Pinot Noir.
Staff is amazing. Service is impeccable.
Make a reservation. Book a ride share. Enjoy the elegant food and wine and allow Carise and the expert staff here to make your night a wonderful experience. They're great.
