Really enjoyed lunch here on Friday. The server was great and so was the food. I got the lunch special which was a nice sized portion. I will definitely come again.

Decided to give El Tio another try after an average dining experience a few years ago after some friends recommended it after management changed. We had a great overall experience and everyone enjoyed the fresh food and drinks. They just opened new dining and bar space which was really nice. Will definitely dine again.

The only reason the atmosphere is at 4 stars is because the location doesn't provide much room and it seems in need of an update. The food was great and the service staff were very nice and efficient.

Delicious! This restaurant in downtown McLean has excellent chips (the thin crispy kind) and salsa. I also had the California Salad with shrimp. The salad was fresh with beautifully sliced avocado and perfectly seasoned and cooked shrimp.

From a North Texan, this restaurant is legit! Ate lunch here 2x and dinner 1x in past 5 days. Every single meal was fresh and delicious! Salsa is on point, margaritas were fantastic, ribeye fajitas were amazing, the ceviche SUPER Fresh, cheese enchiladas superb, and team/staff as nice as they come. Will be back next time I'm in the area.

This is a fantastic Mexican restaurant. Best fajitas around. So good we drive all the way from Arlington to get to it and we do it often (about once a week). Staff is super friendly, they have solid margaritas, and it's not overly expensive. Definitely one of the places we love to visit. They can also be very fast if you are trying to get in and out. Solid recommend.

Being from California, it took awhile to find authentic Mexican cuisine.
Tex-Mex: very good
Mexican: excellent, particularly the Mariscada (seafood stew, big bowl) and Lechoncito al Horno (similar to carnitas)
Service: very good, well managed, stable staffing
Atmosphere: can get very noisy when at least 75% full
Value: very good, reasonable prices

Nice Tex-Mex spot in the heart of Mclean. Lunch menu was very affordable. Good Mexican beers in chilled glasses. Margaritas looked good (didn't try, but my party had no complaints). Service was very good with attentive waiter/waitress. Parking is a little difficult due to cross streets and as El Tio is located in a small duo/split strip mall, but very accessible from Tysons Corner and the greater Mclean area. Would recommend for a bite during the lunch hour.
