Coffee Shop Cafe

We arrived at the noon day rush. They have a large parking lot, so parking wasn't any problem. We had to wait at the door not much more than 5 minutes to be seated. Another 5 minutes to get our drink order- no problem. But the food orders took a long time to be brought to the table. I ate off the buffet and the food was delicious- chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, greens, butter beans and a salad. I was already finished my food and was working on my second glass of tea before the food was delivered to the other people of my group. All told, wasn't a bad experience but service time could be tightened up.

For what it is, good ol boy country food, it's pretty good. The breakfast buffet is a little better than the dinner buffet, in my opinion. The salad bar is a little lame, but most people are not there to eat salad. Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, hush puppies, and fried catfish and all the fixins are all pretty good, not great. It's all about quantity, not quality here. Definitely can't complain about the brownie chocolate cake with ice cream tho 😌

Best down-home southern country cooking I've had. Their salad bar and buffet dinner meal was/is outstanding. I had salad bar and their beef enchiladas (chili gravy pulled me in, great) and a couple pieces of fried chicken. The only reason I didn't overload my plate was to insure I had room for pie...I chose buttermilk pie and coffee for desert. I don't live in Mcgregor, but make the trip and even bring out-of-state guests!

This is an amazing place . The food is always delicious doesn't matter what you order off the menu. The staff is friendly and respectful. And to top it all you get free dessert . What more could you ask for . But don't just take my word for it stop on down at the coffee shop cafe and try it yourself.

Waitress was really polite and helpful. Food was great, mashed potatoes tasted like real mashed potatoes and not dry mix. Chicken tenders and chicken fried steak were cooked good and thorough. They also have a "Subway-like" self serve buffet (not during this covid). Prices were decent and reasonable. 5/5 would come here again!
