I don't think their product is special compared to other places. It tastes good, but I don't necessarily think that it pushes the bar. It's just exactly what you would expect from an outdoor ice cream location. If you are in the area, I can recommend stopping by. They have a decent selection. I will warn that it may be difficult to get here if you are on the wrong side of the road. Legally, you aren't supposed to make turns from the other side. If you are heading towards Mays Landing, there is a exit that you can take that will let you drive on the overpass and then immediately exit onto the other lane right in front of Custard Castle. If you are exiting Custard Castle and want to drive to Mays Landing, there isn't a legal turn for awhile.

This was a custom creation - coffee Ice cream, peanuts, banana, hot fudge, and whipped cream. Yummy yummy goodness. Great folks too. Wasn't expensive at all (and I probably ate three times from that cup - too decadent for one sitting!!!)

I have been a "castle" custard customer for 30 years or more. There is a reason the line wraps around the building most nights. The locals know that this is the place to go. Family owned and run for generations. A local landmark

My drive home , this is a place I look forward to stopping at. In the warm months I don't want a coffee , I want ice cream !!! Or water ice !!!! ☺️
