My husband and I went over to Fourth Coast for breakfast after a doctor's appointment this morning. We loved Nancy and Dale Tucker's Common Grounds at that location, and were pleased to find the decor and atmosphere has not changed. The breakfast sandwiches, mine with bacon and cheddar, his with sausage and provolone, were excellent on the homemade bread, with a perfect portion of hash browns on the side. In fact both of us brought half our sandwiches home, and I think I can honestly say I have never had to have a doggy bag for a breakfast out before! Kudos and best wishes to Tabby and Paul and Cheryl! May your business prosper and be around for a long time!
Fourth Coast Cafe is a wonderful place to grab breakfast. As a celiac, it's sometimes hard to find food you can eat. However, they had gluten free desserts and toast. The food was delicious! Similarly, the service was friendly, efficient and helpful. I highly recommend it! I plan to visit again. Thank you!
Full disclosure I'm really coming here to rave about their cakes. They make an amazing carrot cake and chocolate peanut butter. They'll basically make whatever you request and their prices are beyond reasonable. They don't go over the top fancy but they look nice taste great and you can't ask for better service.
This was an excellent choice! Good menu options, plenty of seating and good specials. The fireplace was lit and service was speedy.
Hands down the best breakfast/lunch place in town. Some of the reviews don't do it justice - the menu seems "the same" as others in the area but the difference is in the details: All the lunch meats (except for the ham) are prepared in-house, then sliced. Soups are made from scratch daily. The generous "cup" of chili comes in a bowl. For a small upcharge you can sub your sandwich bread for a home-baked sliced bread. Sandwiches come with a cookie but Boston cream cupcakes are worth adding on! Breakfast portions are massive. A pancake is the size of the plate and the loaded oatmeal is a shareable portion. The murals and seasonal decor have no parallel in the neighborhood. The service is speedy and cordial.
The chef salad was huge! Even split between 2 plates it was more than enough. The Reuben was made with Texas toast sized bread. Sadly, I ended up eating the filling and disposing of the bread.
The server, who. I later learned was the co-owner, was a lil off her A-game. While the cafe had only 3 or 4 tables occupied, she seemed distracted. My lunch mate asked for re-fill of ice water and I asked for a small box. My friend got a glass of iced tea and I finally approached the counter to ask for the box after waiting nearly 15mins to which she replied "oh, yeah. Guess I forgot"
All in all, not a bad place but not a great first impression either.
Service was really friendly and welcoming and the breakfast we had was great. We did take some cinnamon rolls home which we found were quite sweet, but overall would definitely recommend!
Food was absolutely amazing, best pancakes I've had out here. Owners mom came over and talked to us and told us all about the restaurant knowing it was our first time there. Everyone was super friendly and service was awesome. Will definitely be making this place my new go to for breakfast & lunch.
Super cozy restaurant! Loved the fire on the fireplace given the weather!
Outstanding homemade rye bread!
I can see why this is a local favorite
This COZY little place was exactly what we were looking for for breakfast...delicious freshly ground coffee β and made to order food. My husband ordered 1 pancake, 2 eggs and sausage and I had oatmeal with fresh strawberries. The pancake was so big it almost didn't fit on the plate! (I should've takin a pic) You also had a option of REAL maple syrup! All the food was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend this cute place....you'll be happy you went! π 1 more thing.... the ambiance was PERFECT with hand painted murals and sweet old world decorations from grandma's kitchen. πππππ
