Jefferson's Restaurant

We really enjoy their wings. But their prices are getting kinda high, and the servers tend to treat you more like you're an unwanted interruption to their day than the reason they have a job. Even now with just to go orders, they are at best tolerant of us. And we have still been tipping on the carryout orders, so the attitude is confusing.

The burgers are good! They have ski, which I didn't realize before. The service is good, too. It's small so it seems crowded and busy even when it's not necessarily super busy. The atmosphere is a little different, but if you're in the mood for that kind of place it's a great place to eat and a fun place to go with friends. If not, they do take out.

I am soooooo disappointed. I live in northern Wisconsin and come to Mascoutah to visit my family and one of my most favorite places to eat is Jefferson’s. I love fried oysters and that is just not a thing in the north. Well they were so over cooked and tiny. I tried them and ack. They smelled so bad I couldn’t even eat them. I think they were the bottom of the barrel and scraps. I would rather they told me they were out. My sister ordered Buffalo shrimp and I ordered extra spicy garlic sauce on side and they mixed that. The Mac n cheese was the end of life also My moms boneless wings breading was tough. But hey the nachos and the queso cheese dip was good. I am sooooo very sad. Please start to care and make food good again. We care to support your business even though we are also having tough times you should support having good food again.

(edit) With everything going on with COVID I can understand one mistake with an order if you were a fast food restaurant, however they are not. I ordered somewhere around $80 worth of food, and not only had to come back up for a missing item, but twice. I think they have officially won the award for the worst service that I have ever seen. I have worked in the food industry before and never have I had to return to a place twice for issues with an order. I will not be returning until I see a significant increase in the quality of their service. They even give you a time to come up and get your order and if that isn't enough time for them to check and possibly even double check if an order is complete, then they should not be in business. So usually I'm decently pleased with Jeffersons, but lately the service has gone severely down hill. I sat down with a couple of friends about 20 minutes ago and people who got here after us were getting served first. Then when I asked to get some service and that we had been waiting and were here before a few people who had already been served, the waitress gave me a load of attitude! I'm highly disappointed in their service and I expect them to bring it up if I ever plan on coming back. It's taken them over 10 minutes to get our drinks. We ended up leaving because of our limited time frame for lunch. Dissatisfied.

Jefferson's has a good menu with a lot of different options. I'm partial to their cheeseburgers, but their buffalo chicken wrap and Jefferson's Chicken sandwich are also really good. The onion rings here are amazing and I'm pretty sure they use the same batter on the fried pickles. Definitely worth a stop if you're passing through.

I had fried pickles as an appetizer and they were good except for a massive pool of oil at the bottom. I didnt get to have all of them because of it. I had a Philly cheese steak and onion rings for the meal and the entree was quite good and a very generous portion. The onion rings were over battered/undercooked just slightly but the flavor was alright. Service was good.

I ordered wings to go a couple months ago when I got home they were severely under cooked. When I called they told me they would put my name in the book and next time I’m in mention it and I would get a free order of wings. Today I tried to order wings by calling in an order...I called four times and let the phone ring ring ring...I’m passing on this place now and the future!!
