My wife and I absolutely love this place! Wait staff: Service here is extremely friendly and courteous. They are always on top of what you need (water, clearing plates, etc) and are more than happy to explain menu items. We really enjoy chatting with them! Atmosphere: It's a really bright, German-feeling place. It's somewhat formal in the way the tables are dressed, but also feels very relaxing and homey. They have some German music playing in the background which is nice. Food: The menu seems to have all of the best/traditional German food. I love their brats, and the mushroom gravy is amazing! I haven't had anything there that I didn't like. I gotta say that the bread pudding is the best I've ever had! Overall: This place is such a gem, and is my absolute favorite place to eat in the area.

Been here three times. Has become one of my favorite restaurants. I took a German friend of mine and he raves about the food. It has a lovely German environment, very welcoming, great service and the food could not be better. It is located in a small town east of Saint Louis and it is not in a visible location. Use your GPS for this one, it is truly a hidden treasure. I drive 40 minutes to get there and it is well worth the drive! Don’t miss this one!!!

The food was amazing! Too bad we went on a night with a huge party on the other half of the building. Better planning on their part would of been a smart thing to do. The servers we very friendly and helpful while running their tails off. Waiting an hour for bread and salads. Food took about 1.5 hours. People that sat way after us had food before us. Kitchen needs better planning. If you are patient, the food is defiantly worth it though.
