This is the place to stop and eat! The burgers are wonderful. Don't get me started on the hand cut fries. I swear every time I go they taste like they were made just for me. You can call ahead and pick up your order from the take out window. My favorite thing to do is go inside for my take out order and get a cold brew to enjoy while I wait. The service is warm, friendly, and accommodating. It is easy to get in and out of being next to a light. Definitely a must to stop at on your way traveling on Hwy 80. I wanted to post a picture of my food but alas, it did not make it to the end of this post. 😅
Every menu item is great here, you can't go wrong unless you know you don't like the ingredients.

Pass this place all the time when I visit San Marcos and I finally stopped in for a cheeseburger, fries, and onion rings. The angus cheddar cheeseburger was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The texture and size are very similar to a smash burger. The veggies are fresh and the buns had the ideal kiss of heat. The onion rings had classic southern home made taste. The barn itself is worth the stop, it houses an antique safe large enough for a party of four to dine. Customer service went above and beyond to make our dining experience one of the better I’ve ever experienced. Highly recommend stopping by for an old fashioned burger.
Great burgers and live music! Also great selection of beer, wine and seltzer. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

Stopped there on the way home from a camping trip in San Marcos. The food and atmosphere was great and enjoyed the Texas decor. The staff were super cool and generous and went out of their was to serve our large group with mostly kids...so many kids 🙄. Perfect ending to a great weekend of camping. We’ll definitely be stopping by again.
My favorite burger joint in Central Texas. It is worth the Drive out Hwy 80 to the Feed Barn. I have eaten there a dozen times and never disappointed. The burgers, fries, rings, and the cold beer are all excellent. There are other things on the menu but the burgers, fresh off the grill, with jalapenos and fresh crisp fries whispers my name.
