The restaurant is awesome! There's a beautiful view and it's comfortable. The food is fantastic. It's homemade, always creative and unique. They come out with the best ideas and most mouthwatering looking dishes. You can tell they take pride in their food.
During my three-night stay in Marlinton, I ate at this restaurant three times — once for breakfast and twice for dinner. The food and the service were good. They got a little busy during breakfast (after 9 AM), so get there early! The restaurant sits right next to the river, and there are quite a few ducks that stay in the area. For a mere fifty cents, you can purchase a generous bag of corn and feed the ducks. What a hoot!
Dropping a 5 star review here because I believe this place is underrated compared to, frankly, overrated establishments around it. The food and service were awesome here and the prices were very reasonable. There is a duck feeding station outside and it just feels like all around the most authentic food joint in Marlinton.
We stopped here for lunch on a trip. it was a great stop. the staff is friendly, the food was great, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend stopping here and having a nice lunch on the porch overlooking the creek. 50 cents you can buy a bag of corn and feed the ducks.
This is my favorite place whenever we pass through town. The ambiance on the deck is delightful and relaxing. Our server was friendly and attentive without hovering. The food was delicious. Good basic fare, generous portions, and reasonable prices.
We stopped here twice over the past couple of weeks for food while on vacation and had good experiences both times. I had the pulled pork sandwich the first time and dad tried the Reuben, both were delicious. I tried the club when we came back the second time and again the meal was solid. We sat inside the first time and were treated to a local artist singing and playing guitar. We sat outside the second time and enjoyed the back deck overlooking the Greenbrier on a warm sunny day. This place definitely gets 5 stars and I would absolutely stop here again the next time we come through the area.
My husband and I ate there today. He had a cheeseburger and curly fries, I had the turkey and mozzarella cheese sub and curly fries and we got the fried mushrooms. Everything was delicious! Very clean place, nice atmosphere and the people working there were very friendly. If I'm ever in the area again I'll definitely go back.
Ate here for dinner - the country fried steak was delicious, the beer was cold and in a chilled glass, and the view was unbeatable. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Couldn't ask for more.
Went here just for late morning breakfast and it was pretty busy but we seated ourselves right away and got to ordering and had our food out pretty quick. Sort of your classic diner menu, no muss no fuss but very tasty and an extremely fair price. Can't hope for much more.
Mom and I visited the restaurant and had the West Virginia kielbasa skillet, which was great with a generous portion - and the coleslaw and cornbread were absolutely perfect. Service was so quick and friendly, and of course we enjoyed hanging out with the ducks too. We'll be back again during our stay!
