Taco John's

This place was amazing before it went corporate. The burritos used to be packed full of ingredients and look like the picture on the menu. Now it's a 50/50 chance that you might get one with barely anything in it and you'll just beat eating a lot of tortilla rolled up over and over. Tacos used to be loaded and now you never know what you're going to get. I've been several times since its went corporate and the quality is just not the same.

The food is okay, if you're lucky enough to get what you ordered. At least half the time, our order is incorrect. The last two times, we didn't get the house salsa we asked for. Today, one of the two peco de gallos we asked for was upside down in the bag with the lid off and the contents leaking through the bag. Three of the last five times one of us ordered a Boss Bowl, we ended up with a burrito. It's to the point where I don't know if I will go back. It's extremely irritating paying money for something you never get.

I remember Taco John's being a staple in my community back in grade school. The taste is still exactly the same. High quality food and service provided from this place. The food was hot and fresh. I was so excited to visit here when I came home for a visit all the way from TX. My favorite item are the potato oles with a side of cheese. My daughter and I enjoyed the six pack and a pound summer special. This visit felt very nostalgic. Thank you for reviving such good memories in my life. I will be back on my next visit to Marion, IL.
