Came here a few days ago for lunch, the first time I visited last year was for dinner so it was nice to try out to dine during the day. We were greeted by the Hostess and were were sat shortly afterwards by a nice table by the window, it was such a nice view as well, we started off with light starters like the Cheese & charcuterie plate, the truffle pizza and burger we were a larger group so pretty much split everything. I loved the Cheese burger so much our amazing server Tamara explained how it was blended with 3 cheeses and many of the menu items are made in-house which is pretty neat. We also tried the shrimp pasta, salmon plate, the seafood tower was amazing I love the crab and jumbo shrimps. For drinks we mostly had the lemonades which were delicious. I would recommend next time making a reservation for large parties or for dinner. Will be back

Each incarnation of this "dockside" restaurant is more impersonal but still one of the loveliest waterfront views anywhere, with a very friendly/well-trained staff (mostly tourist guests) and a second generation LA chef determined to give diners a fresh, quality and evolving menu. It still makes you thankful for this expensive white tablecloth dining because of the memorable "experience." A fantastic whole fish! And hostess Jan is still at the door after all these decades to make you feel welcome as soon as you step inside the door.

Great restaurant at Marina Del Rey. The staff is friendly and responsive. We were greeted instantly at the door and table. They kept our drinks full and our table clean. The food is rich and filling. Come on an empty stomach and leave full. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food.

The view was spectacular! My sorority had a private brunch here and the room was just right for our large party. The wait staff were attentive to our needs and made sure we were well taken care of. The prix fixe menu for brunch had a wide variety of options and even a vegan option upon request for me! The chef was so nice to even come out and assure me that he made sure everything was vegan. And it was amazingly delicious! Well worth the money!

Service was superb. Loved our waitress. Was always coming around and asking if we needed anything else. Cracked jokes and made us feel right at home. Everything that was brought out tasted excellent. Be aware that all parking in the lot outside the restaurant is $6 whether you valet or not.

Delicious, interesting seafood in a marina setting, Cafe del Rey was perfect. We weren't dressed for a fancy dinner, but in California that's fine. They took reservations and were gracious about our 7-year old being with us. We dined early at 5:30. As the evening progressed the clientele became much fancier, so we were glad we'd eaten early!

It was very good! I came here, kinda by accident. Was hungry.. spotted Cafe Del Rey and thought "Huh! Never been here before!".. so I had to try it. It was pretty empty, but this was around 4:30 PM on a Monday, so... They had a great happy hour menu. I did not get to order too much, hence the 4 stars thus far. But four is very good in my opinion. Ordered the pasta bolognese.. extremely good. And service was great. Will be coming back.

Great establishment with a great view. We had American style dishes that were freshly prepared with great table side presentation. Quality was excellent and all of the right taste buds participated and were excited. This is a well reviewed place so I will only add couple of highlights. Dining room staff was excellent with attentive service and timely table visits. So why only 4 stars? To be fair maybe it was timing. We arrived just 2 minutes before they officially open for lunch. However the hostess completely ignored us for about 5 minutes while being preoccupied on her cell phone. Then there was unnecessary additional 5 min at the bar while we waited to be seated in what appeared to be empty restaurant. Outside of the hostess greeting issue this could have been a 5 star review.
