Yellow Submarine

I know this was voted Best Of in South Jersey, and was on the Foodnetwork. Do I think it's good? Yes. The cheesesteak has good flavor, eating it on The Godfather roll was a nice touch (In case you don't know, that means I ate garlic bread smothered in cheesesteak). I enjoyed this and I would rank it in my top 10, however it wouldn't take top contender in my book. With that in mind, cheesesteaks are a matter of preference, I prefer mine with thicker cut meat, a ton of cheese, and made with perfectly executed caramelized onions (+/- mushrooms, depending on my mood of the moment.). I would eat here again, because they made a good cheesesteak. Sidenote: I now know to order myself a mini.

This place had always been one of my favorites so I was really looking forward to driving to pick an order since I live several towns away from them now. But, this place may have jumped the shark. I ordered 2 large hoagies turkey and italian which are about $12 - $13 each and they were noticeably thinner than they used to be even the rolls looked smaller in diameter probably an attempt to hide putting less meat in them and make them look more substantial. I also ordered a buff chicken cheese steak and paid extra for the "Extra Meat" option and it was still small with a normal amount of meat in the middle and nothing on the ends of the roll, that's not my meaning of extra meat. I ordered hot peppers on the side and got plastic cups with literally 3 hot pepper slices and 1 stem so I had to spread 3 pieces of hot pepper over my LARGE hoagie, it feels like they don't care anymore. For years their hoagies were big and meaty and I didn't mind paying the big price tag for them but If they're going to start making standard Wawa size hoagies that I can get anywhere then bring the price down!!!
