Great little food joint. The service was fast, the workers were friendly, the prices were unbeatable! Egg and cheese omelette with hash browns and toast was only $1.99 for kids! That alone made this place awesome! I ordered the western omelette and my wife ordered a pancake. The quality of the food was fine and it tasted good. Definitely better than any of the typical breakfast diner chains. Overall the place was fine. We were traveling through the area and found this to be the best place around where we are camping.

It was our 1st time here. 5 stars goes towards FREEDOM! God bless this place👍! Christine was our server; the French fries were barely edible they were droopy. Lol.. we asked for them to be well done. They were out of cocktail sauce though we were grateful for the 3 half ounce cups we were given. The beef noodle soup was awesome, the fried shrimps were good & they were a nice size, the tuna melt was yummy too. We tipped our server 30%. We'll be back.

I've had good experience here in the past, however the last 2 trips we've had, and according to our inlaws their last trip, have been sub-par. I recently got a burger platter, the burger was cooks to well, while I asked for medium, but I don't hold that against them it happens. If it was a steak I would have an issue. But my main problem this past trip was the fries. They were good, but it was the smallest amount on a platter I've ever seen. Like a kids portion, except my kids kids meal only had 9 fries. I only had 15. From working in the service industry I get things get busy, but there were 4 servers and a bus boy, and we got our drinks over 5 minutes after we ordered food, never even asked if we wanted refills. And I get alot of orders coming in can make you rush, but a burger and fries in a dinner are a staple and shouldn't be an issue to make. I'll still go back, especially for breakfast, but hopefully things pick up and I'll edit this.

Had All You Can Eat fish meal. Was very good. Panko covered pollock and fresh cut fries.
Malt vinegar and tartar sauce. Mmm. Was delicious!

I stopped in here briefly while in Ohio a week ago. There was only one waitress/bartender, and for the most part... she visibly hung out in the kitchen chatting with other staff instead of roaming the tables and attending to customers, which means that it took at least 10 minutes for every request we had (more water? hot sauce? drink refill?).
Towards the end of my visit, I asked if the manager was present and the waitress said “yes!” So I asked if she could bring the manager out for a minute.... the waitress disappeared for 10 minutes.... and then instead she returned with the check (which had charged me for two things I did not order). I again kindly asked for the manager, but the waitress refused / declined to fetch him/her.
When I initially asked for the manager I simply wanted to give him/ her a few simple marketing tips to help draw more consumers to the restaurant (one of my family members visits the restaurant every week so I could easily thing of ways the place could be improved without any major spending).
Towards the end of my experience, I realized that Jake’s Eats was terribly managed... the waitresses have no sense of chain of command, and that the waitress charged me for two things I didn’t order. So when I really needed to speak to the manager (about the two things I totally didn’t order) ... the waitress basically shrugged me off. I again asked for the manager (who was within eyeview) but was shrugged off. I paid the full bill plus tip (out of principle) but the waitress seemed like she was actively knowing she could overcharge me without consequence because I was from out of state.
I do nor recommend Jake’s Eats whatsoever, and if you do decide to eat here you should record your meal so you have proof if the waitress overcharges you.

Tried Jakes for the first time for the Fish fry they have on Friday during lent.
All I can say is the chef must be scared to season his food because the French fries were wilted, soft and not a spec of seasoning or even salt.
The Tartar sauce was , so so.
The Fish was NOT seasoned and no crunch at all, it was simply BLAND, breaded, kind of like If you were feeding your 95 year old mother with no teeth and no taste.
The cole slaw was outstanding, very good on that one item.
Chef needs to season his food, nothing special here… price was fair for food. The service seemed very good, but JUST NO Taste!
The only reason Im giving g them some credit is because the coleslaw and service.. fire the chef!
