This is the coolest restaurant. The ambiance all dealing with Mayberry . Even the menus had all entrees named after the characters ( I would love to have one for our 1950's bar we have set up in our home. ) My brother in law and twin sister took me there for breakfast. I had a skillet it was the best I had ever had. The staff is AMAZING. If I didn't know better I would if thought Andy and Barney would be walking in momentarily! Thank you for what you and your staff do. Amazing!

Stopped by for late breakfast on the weekend. The place was very busy and the staff were doing their best to keep up. To be fair, the staff seemed somewhat harried but they were hurrying to keep up. The lady taking money was nice, but complained a lot about work, lack of sleep, etc. My waitress was efficient but not overly friendly. Overall, not a bad experience and the food was good. My recommendation? Not my first choice in Manteno, but a decent place to eat- if excellence in customer service is not a priority.

crowd is 'old and quaint'. we were the only people under age 55 there, much less people of color, in a room of 35+ people and definitely got some weird looks for being there. i felt out of place. booth seats were mildly uncomfortable due to overuse and need replacing. staff is friendly but service was slow. it's begging for an update. food was decent, overall enjoyable.

Open for business! You should stop and eat! Best owner and staff, so friendly and helpful! We were on a road trip from St. Louis and I googled best food and there it was! Hubs got Reuben and I got the house specialty chicken And O M G! I’m a southerner but that was some of the best and freshest chicken and sweet tater fries ever, plus fresh potato soup and bread! You could split a plate because they give you so much food!
I’m truly happy we stopped and we will be back. It’s a charming small town as well!

I've visited this restaurant many times and have always received A+ service. Multiple checks on how we were doing, don't rush you out the door, respectful. Food is always delicious and more than enough. Keep it up!
Update 5/21: I do feel like the restaurant can be quite loud at times. Which makes it hard for someone with anxiety. Similar to the noise at cracker barrel if you know what I mean. Still good but I do feel like the staff could be a bit more professional.
