Pita Pit

On a street full of dive bars, pizza, and a grimy taco joint; Pita pit was a breath of fresh air. Walking in the place was cleaner than the street itself. We told the employee at the ordering station it was my first time there. He promptly welcomes.my wife and I and went through the posted menu and how ordering works. We ordered 2 classic Gyros and split a mango smoothie. To our tastebuds delight the uniquely wrapped gyros and the mango fresh smoothie were amazing. Before leaving We left them an additional tip and headed on our way. If ever we find ourselves in Mankato again, this will be our quick lunch stop.

Nice enough staff, they were able to adjust one of the menu items to make it vegan, the falafel wrap, but it ended up being pretty dry. It seemed surprising that Pita Pit didnt have a good vegan menu item already, considering how many vegans use Mediterranean food as a good staple when they eat out. It ended up tasting like a Mediterranean Subway... nothing too great.

I took my family here for a lunch while we were visiting Mankato and hitting up some places downtown. The food here is very good, I had the Gyro Pita, and the service was efficient and friendly. My only complaint is that a drink is not included in the price. This isn't a huge deal, but it does detract from the appeal of the place to some degree. However, it is not enough to keep me away the next time I am in the area. Again, the food and the service were both very good! I recommend giving Pita Pit a try.

We are so thankful to have Pita Pit! I have a wheat allergy, it's so hard to find safe food. I have gotten very ill from cross contamination at other establishments in town. The gluten free wraps and salads are amazing! My whole family loves Pita Pit. Everything is always fresh. I forgot my mask, I called from my vehicle and Kesha was happy to do curbside pickup. Pita Pit for life!
