Perkins Family Restaurant & Bakery

Came in today table for four. Waitress was great I must say. Most of us had skillets, food was served cold. Coffee was served in a thermos container and it was also cold and extremely bitter. I understand being short staffed, and not being able to accommodate everyone. Two bites out of my skillet and left it on the table. I don’t know if I’ll be back after this Experience. Was not the best at all by any means.

Perkins is a great restaurant. Every year I look forward to a pumpkin muffin. I called ahead today and ordered 8 pumpkin muffins to take to work with me and to share with my family because they are my favorite. I got there and was super disappointed when I saw the muffins. They stopped frosting the whole muffin and did not put the sugar crystals on top. The muffin still tasted good but it wasn’t the same and I was kind of embarrassed to bring them to work because I was talking them up and they now look pathetic. Please frost the whole muffin and add the sugar crystals. Sometimes a good muffin can make someone’s day!

My husband and I stopped here today. Service was extremely slow. When we received our food I noticed immediately that the pancakes tasted like they had onions in them. A little later I found a piece of what looked like roast beef. A tore the object open and indeed it was a piece of roast beef about the size of a 50 Cent piece. I mentioned it to the cashier because our server was no where to be found. I cannot believe the response we she had. Her exact words were “oh well the kitchen is busy”. This was a large piece of meat. We will definitely not stop here again. Absolutely gross!

Terribly dirty. After 6 sets of silverware we cleaned our own in the bathroom. Table dirty, plates dirty, coffee urn really bad. Food was not hot. Staff was good, but I can't imagine the filth we can't see behind closes doors. Smell of raw sewage by the door, drain in men's room overflowing. We've had a few not so great visits but today was the worst.

I used to love this Perkins, but sadly they have gone down hill real bad. The last few times I've eaten there, or ordered delivery, its been absolutely terrible. Foods been bad along with many missing items. As for the service, thats gone down hill as well. Personally, I will never eat from here again. But I do hope they are able to get things figured out and on a better track before they loose anymore loyal customers.
