Dali's Cafe

Every meal I have tried so far has been delicious. The chicken fried steak and eggs is great. And their home fries are cut up cubes of perfectly seasoned, crispy potatoes. A must try. They are fantastic. Great atmosphere and bright, comfy. Fast, friendly service. Chef is rocking the kitchen. Great prices. Must dine here. Nice variety on the menu and daily specials. I tried the Greek Gyro Omelet the other day....wow! 😋 Also try the Carmel Pecan Turtle stuffed French Toast. Yum.

Usually visit once a week for breakfast. Food is great, ambiance is unique (especially in Manitowoc where dark bar ambiance is the norm). Good place for a leisurely breakfast and conversation. Weekends are busy and service can get slow. Weekdays are perfect. Staff is friendly and coffee keeps coming!

Was in town for a weekend getaway. Was told the Dali Cafe had the best breakfast in Manitowoc. We walked in and the restaurant was gorgeous. We walked in first however the couple behind us was seated immediately. We waited a few minutes and then was reluctantly seated. As we walked to our table we were stared at by the few people that were there. Our server walked past us several times and didn't greet us. She had two other tables that were well into their meals. So busy it was not. She finally came over to us and asked what we wanted. No greeting, or introduction just an abrupt request for our order. Our food came rather quickly. It was okay, but definitely not the best. We weren't checked on during our meal. Didn't receive a single refill. When we went to pay the young woman didn't say a word or look at us. I got the distinct impression we weren't welcomed. The sign Whites Only definitely hung on their door in the past, and the spirit of it is still alive at the Dali Cafe.
