Great choice for a good hot meal. We had the pasties and were not disappointed. They were great and I had leftovers. Great value as well - prices are reasonable. Save room for the pie if you can. If you are looking for a corporate chain restaurant experience...this is not your place. It's a very traditional cafe like so many mom and pop places around Michigan. I will make it a point to stop there again.

Some of the best food out here, had a bite of their pancakes as well and they are a must-have. Salad bar was fairly good as well. Nice and fresh with a lot of choices. I don't remember her name, but the waitress taken care of all the front was incredibly sweet.

Our waitress, Dawn was very attentive and one of the nicest waitresses. Food was wonderful. Had the soup and salad bar with our meal. Haven't seen this offer in a long time. Everything was fresh on the bar and the soups were warm and delicious. You definitely won't leave hungry. Thank you for the wonderful service!

First visit, even though we work right here in town. I wish we had come sooner! Cute, clean - homey 80's feel (giving away my age). The BEST Rueben sandwich I've ever had. Bar none. Service was prompt but patient, and per usual here in the UP, the people were super nice. Everyone had a smile and seemed to be genuinely happy to be of service! Prices were completely reasonable - no 'total $$$ shockers' on the menu. My grandparents used to take me to places just like this when I was a kid. Will definitely make this a regular spot!

Just an amazing restaurant!! Real homemade soups and desserts. EVERY meal that I ordered here was delicious. From the fish to breakfast and everything in between. DO NOT pass this place up. I can't wait to return next year where yet again I'll get to enjoy an amazing dining experience!!

Nice little diner outside of Manistique. Really enjoyed the soup and pasties! The pasty was big enough to weigh down a body in the lake. Service was good and had a great meal overall.

Really nice. Have had some hit or miss experiences with local restaurants in the UP on our camping trip. The service here, though, was excellent. Attentive, friendly, genuine. Every interaction we observed by all of the staff seemed warm and welcoming. The homemade vegetable beef soup on the soup and salad bar was amazing. If I lived locally, I would buy it in bulk. Really happy we stopped in tonight.

We've stopped here a couple of times on our trips between MN and MI. Each time we're greeted by super friendly staff, the food is consistently good, prices affordable and bathrooms clean. Definitely recommend if you're looking for an easy-going place to get a sit down meal while on the road.

Vickie was an amazing server. She's been at the restaurant for 14 years. Her care for the restaurant and her customers really showed. All of our dinners were delicious. We had a hard time picking from the 4 fish options and that's when Vickie told us about the "Fisherman's Dinner". All of the fish was cooked to perfection. The portions were huge on every plate. It was as delicious as it all looks. My family of 9 all walked away with full bellies and leftovers. We only wish we would've saved room for dessert. If you are in the area you should definitely stop by!
