A&W never disappoints with their frozen root beer. It gets 5 stars from me. The mini corn dogs, however were dry, the cheese curds were cold, and the burger was very greesy. The service was good, and the employees had GREAT smiles.
My bf and me took my mom and a very good friend out for my mom's birthday. She wanted A&W and we don't have one anymore. We ALL miss the car hop restaurant, however... the food was Delicious And the establishment Was very well taken care of.
It's about 30 miles for us to go Straight there... I turned this day into 80 miles one way 😆

I absolutely love A&W! Awhile ago, I did have issues with a couple of staff members, but I noticed that this past yr, the staff is very friendly n the one that had a super horrible attitude is now gone (not sure of her name). So now I give this place 5 stars on everything! The food has always been great, n I've never had them make a mistake or mess up my order like so many other places do. Definitely gonna continue to go here!
Love love love eating here for something quick if I don’t have a meal plan! The food is amazing, never too greasy but very filling. The workers are sweethearts. Hazelle was very kind
One of our go to stops when in Manistee. The food is good but the root beer floats are the best especially in the frosty mug. So much better than the A&W that are in with Kentucky Fried Chicken.
A bit pricy but the food was good and they were fast.

Absolutely fantastic place to eat! Everything was fixed perfectly per water I would recommend this to everyone in the area!!!!

Very good food and nice atmosphere! Bonded well with my dad for the first time in ages over burgers and tall mugs of root beer. There are little activities on the placemats and we did them together! I ordered the kids' chicken tenders, they were wonderful and came with an activity book. Really good place to just talk over dinner. I saw a cool car in the parking lot!!!
OVERALL:
- nice and welcoming staff
- you can buy a glass bug for 5 dollars, they put it in a carryout bag with gift wrap
- good burgers, good chicken tenders, pretty good fries, and of course great root beer.
- activity mats for the kids but they don't have crayons (as of the day i went)
- statue of the mascot, rooty the bear, by the cash register
- wonderful scenery around the area

Great place for a burger or even corn dog bites. Amazing root beer and friendly service. Miss having one in Illinois
