For the past, well, forever, we've been frequenting the quaint little dive for the best Taco Tuesday deal in the South bay. Burrito sized tortillas stuffed with chicken, pork, fish or steak, topped with shredded iceberg, melted cheddar, sour cream and a side of 'hot' taco sauce. Order a draft beer, sit down, and watch a game on the many screens.
Im coming for my wall plaque. Just ten of these taco beasts and I shall claim taco imortality.
Great friendly staff, always good service. I have never had a bad meal, the food is always good and they can always find the game you wanna watch! OBs is always a great choice any time or day!
My buddy probably could have taken me to any number of places in Manhattan Beach the one evening we were together. He pointed out a number of nice restaurants up and down Highland Ave., but he knows that I especially like places like OB's Pub & Grill. I was more than happy with the food, beer selection, the service, and the overall friendly and cozy ambience at OB's. The Julie's Sandwich consisting of grilled roast beef and cheese on toasted sour dough was a very good pub-style sandwich. The tater tots were also a nice little surprise for a side offering. And they had a good selection of craft beers on tap, even though I literally drank them out of the beer that I really enjoyed. I'm sort of jealous that my buddy can walk there to hang out for beers, watch games and to have some pretty good food for a little pub like OB's. It's a great little neighborhood place.
I went for the Taco Tuesday thing and it was off the chain standing room only. What's all the damn hype I ask, well then I saw what THEY called a 🌮. It's huge fits inside one of those lil Red baskets all by itself. Nope not two or three others just one in there all by itself and the cost is currently 3 bucks. Drafts at a very low price but honestly the lure is the barrels of roasted Peanuts you eat and throw on the floor.
Great place the atmosphere is fantastic. Everyone who goes there is friendly and I think a large part of that is because of the owner Steve who makes the place a easy going fun place to enjoy a meal and watch a variety of sporting events on the many televisions that surround OB’s.
Found this gem open during these trying times. They are open for takeout so I ordered the Southwestern Burger and it is fantasticly delicious. I ate half in the car but was able to take a picture before I devoured it. The service is excellent from all and the chef has no problems with special request. If your looking for a place to get a great fresh meal during the shut down this is the spot! When this is all over and I will definitely treat myself to a sit down visit. In the meantime, i will enjoy takeout. Thank you for feeding me!
Food was good drinks were even better! Lol
Came on Christmas night, looks more like the bar/nightclub aspect. The bar area and dance floor is really clean.
The lost stars are for the dirty men’s bathroom with no soap or paper towels and it smells as if it has not been cleaned. The stall at least had a door, but the floors were extremely sticky. -2 Stars
Second, charging a cover of $5.00, there are hot girls and guys here though... So I will give it back 1 star.
Good fun place. Laid back. Lots of screens for games good food n $$ friendly staff.
Nice British feel to a beach vibe bar and grill. Very cool long hair dude behind the bar who came over and got us food and drinks. Friendly and generous with his recommendations. Would definitely go back. Taco Tuesday is also a very good deal.
They don't skimp on the meat in their tacos! Wrapped in a flour tortilla instead of a corn tortilla had it seem more like a burrito than a taco, but it was acceptable. not amazing by any means, but they service was friendly. i'd recommend it for a taco on a Tuesday and a beer!
