La Madeleine

This place is always filthy. Standing in line at the take out counter, the customer in front of me ordered something, but they were out of bacon. He was okay with it and paid, then the employee disappeared and left me standing there. Finally, someone returned and took my order. Another customer comes in to pick up a phone order, but they were out of some items. The customer asked why didn't they call back to inform them. Employee replies "I was going to tell you when you got here." Customer cancelled the order and was disappointed after traveling from Abita Springs. The employee tells another employee and they begin to make fun of that customer in front of others who just witnessed what took place. Customer service stinks, the environment is dirty, always out of food, serving sizes got smaller but the price is the same. Skip this place and go across the street to Cafe Rani. They are always crowded but are well organized, now I know why...they get the rebound from this place. Do not recommend this place.

This used to be one of my wife and I’s favorite places to eat. However, ever since 2020 the place has gone downhill. The quality of the food has gone down. They never answer the phone for pickup orders. The staff is not friendly. 80% of the time they’ll leave you with only a partial to go order. I typically like La Madeleine’s food but not this location. Just go somewhere else. There’s better places to eat.

Delightful, refreshing, and filling, and easier to "tour" with a meal that won't weigh you down, everything I was craving +on the healthy side. Being that Louisiana is French, making Madeleine's menu stand out aside from the traditional French creole side, its a nice lite choice. Staff is nice although I've yet to dine in, i'm sure they're AMAZING. I ordered takeout with the convenience of local lodging. This is a great spot for local restaurants. Even though its covid everyone still seems to be operating efficiently
