Ripe Tomato

This place was a pleasant surprise. We had run up to Saratoga for some shopping but didn't feel dressed enough to eat in Saratoga... also needed meat free options. We remembered coming here when we were younger and decided to stop by and see if there was a table. The food was great! The service was decent but not friendly. Portions are large, You can certainly get multiple meals out of it. The menu does offer smaller portions on some meals. The bread is fresh. I felt the mozzarella was heavily breaded but seasoned nicely. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable. A must visit. We will be back. Got dessert to go. Can't wait to try it later.

I never find myself in this area, but I accepted a job not too far and the training center is 5 minutes away so I needed to get something quick for lunch. I called and asked how quickly they could prepare the pork schnitzel and if I could take it to go. They said that I could and they could have it ready in 15 minutes. It was perfect timing and the food was amazing! The potato pancake was out of this world! It is also beautiful inside and I can't wait to go back and sit down for a meal. Absolutely excellent!

My sister Liz and I thoroughly enjoyed this destination. Our waitress Greta was absolutely fantastic. Coffee was great and our burgers and fries were even better. In fact the French Fries were the best I have had in a very very long time. We will definitely be back and I hope we can request Greta as our waitress again. Really nice decor is also a big plus.

This place is always busy everytime I drive by, so I decided to stop in and give it a try. First thing that caught my attention is the flowers on the way in. They're red, matches the tomato icon and sets the ambiance. Hostess greeted us warmly with a smile. We were fortunate to get a table, being quarter past noon and all. Waitress was quick to bring us a third set of silverware and take the drink orders. The water tasted clean, didn't need lemon. French onion soup is a staple for me and it didn't disappoint. Broth was flavorful, the garlic croutons were an interesting touch. You could taste the browning from the boiler on the cheese, which was stringy enough to make thread sized pieces out of. Got the Bermuda salad for a main course. My Mom got the Reuben, which I would have ordered if she didn't. Never seen anything like this Reuben before. Thing was like 4 inches thick, which is a lot for an open face Sandwhich. Our friend tried the philly cheese steak. Quality steak meat from end to end. Prices are middle of the road. Not the cheapest spot but definitely not the most expensive (this is Toga we're talking about here). The owner was walking around socializing with people. Very friendly guy, sets the tone for the place. Great atmosphere to eat at. There wasn't an open seat in the place when we left, a little after one. Try this place if you haven't.

My wife and i had lunch at the Ripe Tomato for the first time last Sunday right when they opened at 11. We had a group with 7 others for a total of 9. Server was fantastic. I am sorry but i do not remember her name. Everyone loved what they ordered. I had the seafood bisque which was delicious and my wife had a burger done perfectly to her liking. The Ripe Tomato deserves 6 stars!

I love to eat at restaurants that were recommended by friends I wanted a different dish other than the usual Italian choices yes I do love them however...I had seen the Saturday special it was exactly what I wanted...I asked our server if they could make it as she was extremely professional and said she could ask the chef...to my surprise it was a yes!!! This dish was exactly to my palet and I cannot wait to eat there again!
