Shooting Star Buffet

We attended a banquet there, we understand changes needed to be made and guidelines followed for Covid, BUT the level of rudeness was beyond intolerable in many interactions with staff. Sad to say many in the group left hungry from lack of service in the restaurant and money in our pockets because we didn't feel compelled to spend our money in the casino. Many staff members were wonderful but first impressions are hard to over come and last impressions leave a bad taste on departure. Hope we can all strive to find the good in everyone to bring smiles to our day.

They now have a smoking section in the Casino, I'm a smoker that's why I gave them a 2 star rating. I'm convinced that the machines aren't paying out the way they should be. They have been fined before, more than once. I know they are saving money by turning them down & paying the fine. The gambling board needs to increase the fine or something or they will continue doing this. They don't have enough beverage servers on the floor because they don't have a self serve station for the customers. All the menu items that I have tried at the Smoke Restaurant is delicious & the size of the portions are good, the prices are reasonable.

Only came here for a concert in the event center, but the casino as a whole seemed to be filled with tons of great side bits, like a non-smoking area, live "lounge" music in one of four(?) mini-restaurants/bars within the casino, a huge variety of slots to try out, many free-beverage AND pay-per-drink stations/bars throughout the entire area, and a pretty fun aura overall. Would have loved to spend more time gambling but the concert was the main reason I was there. Event center seemed a bit sparse on ammenities but was still a fine space for the concert.

Restaurant had horrible service. After taking my name (the wrong name, at that), and waited for 25 min, we were seated and watched as 3 other tables were seated and received drinks and had their order taken, while we hadn't even received water. We were not checked on at all during our meal and our drinks were never refilled, yet other tables were. Half of my meal was cold. I even watched the hostess walk out of the kitchen, carelessly swinging a to go order around in a plastic bag. This place used to be great... not happy with what it's become now.

I really had a wonderful time....our family met up there for new years day and it was a great time to be together and just get away. I work in the bar and restaurant industry and we obviously have been closed...so it was especially fun to just get together and have some drinks and a great meal....thanks!
