Since they moved to the old Madrid Hotel, service has slowed down and the food isn't quite as good. The atmosphere has changed also because it is no longer like the old time diner.

The food is really good and the waitresses are friendly. My only complaint is that it is a bit dirty. I wish they would clean it up a little, the walls, tables, etc. My family loves to go there but I always feel as though I need to wipe the table down before we sit.

These days this restaurant is quiet and lightly attended. Staff are pleasant, friendly, and attentive. It was nicely decorated over the holidays. Went there today, 7/25/21 to find a hand made sign saying the placed was closed due to lazy staff. I was offended by that notice and I think others should be as well. If the owners re having a problem with staffing maybe they need to look at their own management policies because that is the issue as far as I'm concerned. To blame the staff as lazy doesn't cut it with me.

Having a family of nine. The food was awesome and the service was great. Having happy kids. Means, it was a great meal for all. My wife reaction to the bill. I state, "WoW". She was happy. LoL. Will Come Again. 😀

Restaurant is sister to Hometown in Norwood. Both places offer real homestyle meals at reasonable prices.
2 adults and 2 kids was less than $30.00. Everyone left satisfied with the meal and full. No need to go to McDonalds to top off like some places where you leave nearly as hungry as you came in.
Nice place to bring the family for a meal, or to stop for lunch.
