Thank you, for a lovely luncheon. Looking for a light lunch. We share our lunch. We ordered Shrimp soft Taco, Broiled, Taco Scallop soft Taco, Blackened. with Sweet Potato Fries.. Everything was just Delicious . So, glad a dear friend told us about the Clam Castle. Your Menu prices are so Reasonable. They have Picnic tables at the parking a lot. So Friendly Everybody just enjoying the meals. This was our 4th time and planning coming back soon. Again for a Great Meal

This is one of our favorite places....they never disappoint! Usually I get a fried shrimp platter but opted for the shrimp tacos, broiled. I wasn't sure if I'd like them...but they were amazing and was very happy with my choice. My husband got the Cod sandwich and it was dellishish....and as always the hot dogs were a hit with our kids!

My wife and I stumbled onto Clam Castle as we were in search of decent seafood here in this small Connecticut town. It was so good we returned the next day. There is a bit of a wait, but it was well worth it. We loved the lobster rolls and blackened seafood platter.

Not sure what the great reviews are going on about. Nothing was particularly awful but nothing was great either. Staff weren't rude but they certainly weren't friendly, mostly they ignored us. Food wasn't terrible but it certainly wasn't amazing. My blackened scallops were drowned in what tasted like Red Robin burger seasoning (you know the one), which wasn't... bad, exactly, but wasn't very enjoyable. I will say it was a decent amount of food for the advertised price. However, I will also say that I was not charged the advertised price. It's one thing that the chalkboard, paper, and online menus all don't match-- the world is on fire, things are complicated-- but it's another thing when you're intentionally overcharged. I got the $25-ish scallops, my friend got the $30-ish lobster roll, and we each got a lemonade; somehow I paid $75+ for lunch. Those must be some very expensive fountain drinks. The little dining spaces inside and outside are pretty cute, but the whole building rattles every time someone slams a door and the too-loud radio plays only the most objectifying of oldies songs, nonstop of course. We typically go to Lenny and Joe's across the street, and we'll definitely return to that going forward.

It's a great place if your looking for laid-back dining. Prices are not too bad. Food was good. Portions are big. Husband and I shared a combo platter and took enough home for another meal.

enjoyed lunch here today! Fish tacos were amazing. My husbands clam chowder was delicious chunks and chunks of clam. Creamy and hot. Wait wait literally not even 5 mins. Yum!

Best clams ever. Dad and I went there for dads day/ My dad lives near westfarms mall in west Hartford. We are going back during the week when it is not as crowded. The owner is wonderful. He goes around to the tables
to make sure everyone happy!!!!!

Had the blackened fish tacos and they were terrific. My friend had the lobster roll and proclaimed it the best he's had. Great, friendly staff as well.

My boyfriend & I visited here for the first time & we loved it! It's Probably one of the best seafood platters we ever had! Everything tastes so fresh & amazing. It was a generous portion for a reasonable price. We will be coming back!

This has been my favorite seafood place since I was a little girl. Amazing seafood. Amazing service. Great atmosphere inside and out. And them being the winners of chowda fest makes so much sense! I’ve tried New England clam chowders all along the shore line and more, and theirs is hands down the absolute BEST!

I live on the coast of Maine. I get lobsters and clams straight from the fishermen. To say that I am picky about seafood is an understatement. Its delicious and I purposely go out of my way when visiting Connecticut to eat at the Clam Castle. Never disappointed.

My son had the fish tacos. He loved them and I had the New England clam chowder and lobster roll. The chowder was rich and creamy filled with clams and the lobster roll was amazing. So much lobster and fresh!! Will definitely be back

My girlfriend and I went for a ride from New London along Route 1 to find a new outdoor seafood place to try last May. We ran across The Clam Castle and spent as many Saturdays having lunch there as we could. We are both seafood lovers and had eaten at Legal Seafood Harborside in Boston just the day before. The Clam Castle delivered better than Legal and continued to do so every single visit! If you haven't tried the blackened scallops and lobster bisque you are missing out. We were equally impressed with the hospitality we received from Dave Donahue. This is a man who genuinely cares about and wants to please his customers. We will continue to go back often!

We stopped there for our 1st visit yesterday and had the fried combo platter & a cup of clam chowder. It was fabulous! Big portion so my husband & I split everything. reasonable prices too. We will be back soon for the lobster rolls! The place was really nice and clean and decorated very nautical..very cute! We sat outside and again everything outside was very clean. Can't wait to go back! I think my old favorite place for seafood (in old saybrook)...you know where I'm talking about... just got replaced! :-)

The food here is so yummy! But I feel the need to also point out that I left my wallet in the bathroom of this establishment, and the owner looked at my license and drove it back to my house!! Honestly, it made my week and was a great lesson to my kids about the kindness of strangers. Thank you!!!

Some of the best fried whole bellied clams I've ever had. My wife had the scallops and they were some of the best she has ever had. The cashier was awesome as well. A+, we'll be back on another trip up East.

Our meal was outstanding! I had a lobster roll, and my kids and husband all had clam strip platters. We got clam chowder, sweet potato fries and sweet potato tots... honest to god best seafood ever!

My favorite spot for a casual lunch. This time I had the fried oysters and they were so good. The owners take a lot of pride in their food and it shows. The quality of everything I have ever ordered is premium. (Plus, the atmosphere is adorable).
Of course, as usual, I couldn't leave without taking a quart of the delicious RI clam chowder home with me. Can't wait to get back!
