Amazing! A must-dine! Appetizer: sautéed crab claws Entrees: Dr. pepper braised short ribs & the redfish Dessert: bread pudding (bananas and homemade ice cream with rum sauce The reservations were quick and easy. The service was stellar. It’s on the pricy side but worth it! Lovely atmosphere. We WILL be back!!

Wow, from the service to the food everything was great. The redfish and the rosemary chicken were so delicious!

The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. I had the boudin stuffed quail for my entrée and I had the rock shrimp, fried oysters, and tamales for appetizers. Everything tasted wonderful and was presented well. I would definitely come back. The food was slightly expensive but the taste makes it worth the experience even if only for an occasional nice night out. I highly recommended this restaurant.

My wife and I had a rare date night so we decided to try somewhere we haven't been. We were not disappointed in our choice to have dinner at Local 463! The staff went above and BEYOND and the food was excellent. Derrick and Jennifer know the value of great customer service. Thank you!

On this Saturday night we wanted to try a different restaurant. I called Local 463 and asked if there was a wait. The female that answered said “no, if you can be here in 5 minutes we can seat 2 people”. We arrive and are told by an older female (rather rude at that) that they were not taking anymore walk in diners. I explained that I had just called and she told me to come on in. She said. “We just changed the policy”. What the heck. Is that how you treat your would be diners. I always heard this was a great place but I guess only to certain people. I would give this place 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻. First impressions really do count.

Generally good but somewhat expensive restaurant so the expectation is they will control what they can control pretty well. Ordered a $75 steak tonight medium and got it almost cold in the center it was so rare. Sent it back, which I almost never do, and it came back still looking like raw meat. I don't know if they have a problem with their chef but they should invest in a meat thermometer if they're going to charge $75 for a steak.

The wine selection is, well, abhorrent. The bar is a very strange height, which itself could be corrected with slightly higher seating, but I guess they just didn't see that as a problem. The staff seem to be a group of introverts forced to do a job they don't want to do, but need to for money. The food, I mean, this is just dressed up street food, you'd be better served getting food truck food at a fraction of their ridiculous prices. I guess the people of Mississippi just don't know much better, but when you compare this to food in other places, for the price, you're getting robbed at knife and fork point.

Food is really good and well executed (compliments to chefs). Highly recommend the beef ribs and grits. Really tender, melts in your mouth.

We enjoyed it all. From the place itself, staff and the food! Portobello fries for appetizer was awesome. Both ordered different types of burgers “in a bowl” over caesar salad instead of the bun. Hubby could not resist ordering the Blueberry Tiramisu. Althouh I would not call this a Tiramisu because it was not traditional. More like a sponge cake with marscapone and blueberry sauce throughout. Do not get me wrong it was delicious but as an Italian from New York who makes Tiramisu, would not call it that, but u should definitely try it:)

I absolutely loved our overall experience at this restaurant every time we've eaten there!!!!The honeysuckle martini is my all time favorite drink and every time the food has been amazing!!!! The fried green tomatoes are a must have!!!! I will definitely be back and recommend this place to everyone I know!!!!

The food is pretty good. Nothing to rave about but bare in mind we were just having a casual lunch. The service is unacceptable. Ridiculously slow. The restaurant was only half full and it was peak lunch time. They give the servers way too many tables to provide the level of service one expects at a restaurant at this price level.

The barstaff was great, the drinks were perfect! The wait staff was pleasant and attentive. We had 630 reservations and were seated at 631. And the food was ALL excellent. I recommend the redfish and the spinach and scallops! Great first experience!

Party of three ate dinner early (~6pm) on a recent Monday. Bar was full, but adjoining dining area was open. All three enjoyed the food...very tasty! During our meal the dining area quickly filled. As a result our service slowed noticeably. This was acceptable given our casual pace that evening. However, the constant noise from the bar area was very distracting. We had difficulty hearing our server talk! Additional sound mitigation is desparately needed. The food is good enough to warrant future visits, hopefully in a quieter setting!

Food was good but pricey for lunch. Took over an hour to get our food out to the table. Our server did not refill our drinks. Another server noted our empty glasses and refilled for us.

The compressed watermelon salad is EPIC. Can't wait for watermelon season. Amazing service, food and nice wine list too. We go regularly.

Great place, great service and amazing food! One of my top places in the Jackson area!!

Made the Early Bird sitting for New Year’s Eve for 11 in our party. Food was very good. Service was lacking for the level of restaurant. Was told they don’t have sweet tea for dinner and only carried Pepsi products, which was a disappointment since I was the designated d driver. I had to super sweet my tea to get it right. In two hours I only had one refill, and that was after I had to request it. I was not impressed since we spent > $800 for dinner.

Ate at Local 463 after spending the day at the Canton flea market/arts and crafts festival. The service was great. Had the spicy thai flatbread and the bread pudding, the flavors of which reminded me a little of bananas Foster. A bit pricey but both entree and dessert were extremely delicious.
Frank Diaz
Service is just average which takes away from a The great kitchens performance. The staff is friendly but, spread too thinly and it affects service. Other than than that it surely would have gained 4 stars

Love their Shrimp burger!! Haven't had them since I moved up here from Biloxi and Mary Mahoney's is the only restaurant on the coast that's the best. Still, Local 463 shrimp burger is very tasty!

Big fan of this place. Great blue plates. I had the Dr Pepper short rib one night and it was pretty good. The man who owns it is the best chef in jackson. That's an opinion but a damn good one.

I was fortunate enough to have a business dinner here. Great food and great drinks but I do think it was a little overpriced for what you get. It's simply food but elevated. Service was really good and ambiance was also really unique. Not sure I will go back.

Had lunch special on Tues, very good hamburger steak and best squash dish I've evdr had. Good value and great service like every time we've been here. Wife had Chef salad whick she said was vefy good.

Average, average, average. Came in for an early dinner. We were seated quickly. The surroundings were ok, nothing special. The seats were REALLY uncomfortable. Like something you would find in a middle school cafeteria.

The menu was rather dull and I exciting and uninspired. The shrimp appetizer was really good. The chicken was OK. Service was OK. Not great, not bad.

This place isn't bad, but nothing stood out as being really GOOD. For the money spent you are much better off going to Table 100 or Babalu. Won't make the effort to return.
Graham
I had the steak. It was "ok". Didn't wow me. It was fancy and nice by if rather pay the same price and go to Shapply's or Tico's and have mouth watering foods and steak...

Superb. Local 463 was recommended and surpassed expectations. The services was great, kudos to Lisa, et.al. The food was excellent, Caesar Salad, soft-shell crab, Salmon (very fresh, you could tell) and strawberry cake. Wish you would open on the coast.
Missy4MSU
LOVE this place! Their daily lunch specials are all delicious and a great value. I love the catfish on Fridays! Very pretty atmosphere also! If you've never been here, you must try it!!
Kyle
Good, but disappointing.. Cookie cutter, I guess. Not sure what relation the owners/managers have to other restaurants in town, but the menu isn't set much apart from other higher priced restaurants in the metro area.

Pork Belly?
House Chips w/ Cheese?
Fried Green Tomatoes?
Shrimp and Grits?
House Tamales?

Could go on. I give them points on having a more interesting garnish for the entrees compared to some of the other places in town, but that's not the focus point of the dish, right?

Food IS good, just not a big enough draw, though the wife is interested in going back to try their lunch menu, so maybe we'll hit it a second time.

Went to 463 last night. It was delicious ! Had the fried green tomato with crawfish in a buttersauce you will want to simply drink. Then in to the mussels in a broth again that was awesome. Main course was scallops on coose coose topped with bite size asparagus in a delicious sauce I finished with a spoon. Bread pudding with warm caramel sauce and vanilla bean ice cream. Exceptional. My new favorite eating place.
Joshua Morris
Flash fried oysters with spicy bbq sauce special .. were amazing .. a special that needs a full time job on the menu
Welcome To The Machine
Good Food, Good Choice. I prefer lunch because of the price. But you can't go wrong either way. The pizza toppings sound weird, but they work! Yes they have pizza, and it's gooood.
Acdz428
Excellent! Just had lunch there and can't say enough good things. Rosemary honey chicken was the best chicken I have EVeR had! Split it though- its a huge entree.
Soft shell crab was eaten by my mother in law. She loved it too!
Nikki
This was our first but not last visit. Awesome fool, awesome serve. The wait staff was fantastic and the food was amazing.
Amo_risus
The fried green tomato appetizer was delicious, however my fried chicken blue plate special was less than special. My partner had the local 463 burger which was very tasty! Recommended with reservations.

First timers at this joint ... We ordered the Everything Crusted No. 1 Tuna and the Seared Scallops with Risotto and Lemon-Basil Butter, with tamales as an appetizer and Blueberry Tiramisu for dessert.

We had extremely high expectations when choosing our dinner place ... Unfortunately, Local 463 Urban Kitchen left us confused and disappointed.

Presentation was on point, as was service, however, the taste and ingredient selection fell short of the mark.

The balsamic reduction sauce with the tuna was overpowering on the sushi-grade fish, leaving no room for any flavor of the fish. A 'C' is all that can be given to this dish.

The scallop dish was gorgeous, but again, didn't hit the mark on flavor. Besides being extremely chewy, it was almost as if the scallops had expired, and were pushed on their freshness. Final grade of 'C-minus' due to freshness and overcooking.

The tamales and tiramisu rocked ... No complaints here. 'A' marks for these.

There is a feeling of being rushed to order, however, service, as mentioned before, was good.

We will likely give this place a second try, but we will leave our expectations at the door. ;)

Maybe another time. Not bad, but not what we expected. I think for the price you are paying you should have at least remembered our reservations and got us served quicker. We spent our entire date night here because of their speed. Overall, good food and nice people, but too expensive.

Not our cup of tea. This was our second trip to Local 463 and will be our last. Had internet reservations with a note that one of us was vegetarian and would like some assistance with options. We were seated at our table at 6:30; our server came to the table at 6:45 after we asked for someone. It was loud and difficult to have a conversation with our table mates. The server had no clue that a request for vegetarian options had been made but did offer 'a veggie plate' after the written request suggested something other. We requested and specified that the bill be shared between two couples; however, it had to be recalculated when entrees and drinks were mis-assigned. The server was very busy and unable to 'connect'.
Sam
Great. Went there for dinner on a date and both my wife and I loved it. The atmosphere, service, and food were incredible. We will definitely be back soon.

Awesome. The soft-shell crabs were an absolute delight! Thank, you for a great meal served by a polite staff. Keep up the good work.
Best,
KR

I recommend highly! The soft shell crab is superb. The service is outstanding.

Perfection. Fried soft shelled crab lunch special was sooooo damn good. Service was excellent. Can't wait to go again.

Love It! We try to get to 463 once a month or so. We have NEVER been disappointed with the food or service. Granted, some waiters are better than others, but the food has always been stellar. I usually order one of the specials, but have had the redfish 463 and everything tuna several times. The fish has always exceeded expectations. Everything we've ordered has always been cooked extremely well and evenly, never over or under cooked; the appetizer, salads, and entrees timed perfectly. We consider ourselves somewhat "fish snobs," as we're originally from South Florida and use to really fresh fish prepared well. We also like the ambiance, as well as their extensive wine list. On one occassion, they were out of the specific wine we requested, so our server went to the wine market next door and purchased the bottle we wanted. We're going to 463 tonight, and I'm very much looking forward to another great meal!

Just good, not great.... I had the crab claws, which was OK and heirloom tomato salad, which was not good. The salad had way too much dressing and a smoky taste that did not jive with the dish. We also had the Blueberry cobbler, which was excellent-by far the best dish of the night. The atmosphere was really nice and they have a great wine list.
Todd
Still sitting at the table, tonight's special crawfish stuffed flounder, the best I ever had!

Sam. Average food and service, Chairs rock hard.
three stars. Not in top 25 in Madison county.

Don't ask for a private party !!!. Tried to inquire about using their private party room. The manager told me that there is a $1,000 minimum charge, and in my case it would have amounted to about $100/ person. I was willing to spend about $75/ person as I have for the 3 years. The manager at Urban 463 was
was quite rude about it. I guess that I will return to AJ's because they are extremely accommodating and provide great customer service. Don't ask about Urban 463's private room unless you want to treated badly and get ripped off
Nurse
The best food with multiple choices. Best bartender, Forrest. Had the strawberry shortcake and feel in love!!!
Kenneth Michael Cook
Too Pricey. Food is just OK. Not nearly as good as their related restaurant, Walker's Drive In in Jackson.
Sorry, we were not impressed
Jason
I'd like to review their lunch but its hard to do when they're not open for lunch on Saturday

Hi, My name is Zach. I'm from Pennsylvania. I just got done eatting at local 463. The food was good, and the service was great! Our server said she has only been there a few days but u could tell she embraced the local food culture and hospitality only a southern kitchen could offer. A++ for u Alison! U made my trip to MS... Thanks Local 463!

After reading the reviews I wasn't sure what to expect. I had the portobello fries (wonderful) and the red snapper special topped with a black bean and chorizo relish finished with a chipotle sauce. It was plated on a pile of gouda cheese grits. All I can say is Fantastic!!! My friend had the Redfish 463 and said it was good. The fish had no seasoning and the tomato butter sauce was bland. The fried green tomatoes were great. Our server (Candy) created a wonderful experience with her timely table touches and her fantastic attitude. Next time I will choose the bone-in veal parmesan. Can't wait to go back.

Burger Night!. What a great dinner. Had Southern Burger and it was great. Love the fried green tomato on it, and the milk shakes are so creamy! We brought family from out of town with us and it was a quiet meal, everyone was to busy savoring our meal to do much chatting.

-----05 May, 2011-----

Above expectations. We got the crab claws for an app. and I would definitely recommend. The horsey comback was a perfect paring. I ordered the scallops even after reading the previous revew. Let me say that I looooove scallops, I definitely was not disappointed. They were seared beautifully on the outside and tender on the inside. I know that if they were "microwaved", they would have been tough as shoe leather. Mine were fork tender and melted in your mouth. I generally do not order items with feta ( I am not a feta fan) but the shrimp risotto had just enough to flavor it perfectly will not be so afraid next time. The tomato salad in addition just topped it perfectly.
My better half got the lemon fish, and although I did not try it, there was not a morsel left on the plate.
Desset is another chapter. Being stuffed, we split an apple/shortcake/vwhipped cream item that we barely finished.
The service was very attentive. Even the bus boys made sure our glassed were full and iced, and the plates were removed when we were done, I never felt rushed.
If you are planning a date night, this is definitely the place to go!
Jcole
It was good...but.... We went because we knew that the same people that owned Walker's Drive-In were behind it (same chef I believe). So we went expecting Walker's...with a little something extra.

The service was great, the atmosphere was fine, and the food was good...but that is the problem. It was 'just' good. It is a nice place - but we were hoping for something a little more adventurous (a little more nose to tail dining - which I will admit is quite hopeful for something in Madison).

And a note to the owners...we were seated right in front of the kitchen doors...we could have asked to be moved (but we didn't want to fuss) - but please just get rid of that table altogether. It was hard to enjoy my wife's company constantly getting to see the kitchen.

It was our first time to Local 463. I was excited to try it but I was very let down by the service and food preparation. Our waitress was very nervous and did not breathe when she recited the specials and so quickly that it was hard to understand her. We asked for lemon for our ice water and never got it. My daughter ordered the shrimp-dog appetizer and I'd wager good money that the too-sweet sauce was ready-made commercial product. If you've ever eaten at a cheap Chinese buffet, you've had this sauce.

The bread/appetizer plate was way too small. It sounds picky but the bread was bigger than the plate leaving no room for butter. When the fried portabella mushrooms arrived, they hung over the edge by more than an inch on each end, making it very difficult to eat in polite fashion. The mushroom was tasty.

The creme brulee was not a creme brulee. It was reduced cream with a brulee top. The traditional custard would have included egg and vanilla. Every other dessert had vanilla ice cream so I hope you like ice cream.

The worst offense was my scallop dish. I suspected a problem when the tops were very lightly toasted rather than seared. Sure enough they were very raw and I sent it back. Please bear in mind that scallops are not a meat prepared to a particular doneness. They are raw, cooked and over-cooked so it wasn't a matter of personal preference. I checked the heat on one when it came back and it was hot in the middle but not any more brown. Not wanting to be rude to the host of our dinner group, I did not send it back again as I should have. I flipped over the scallop and saw that it had no color at all, AT ALL. Clearly they had finished "cooking" it in the microwave! So, of course it was cooked through in some places and not others. It also means that the bottom had been raw when it was placed on the risotto the first time. It was the same plate that came back so I got to choke down my dinner hoping I wouldn't be sick later. They had not been washed thoroughly and were still gritty. I can't comment much about the other components since I was focused on trying not to think about what I was eating. When our waitress collected our plates, she teased me about finishing it but I had to eat it so as not to offend my host. I was truely trying not to be sick at the table.

I was really looking forward to fine dinning so close to my home. The sad part is that a seared scallop is particularly easy to cook. The scary part is that not knowing how to do so is very dangerous. I do plan to call the owner today about my experience since I was not able to do so freely last night. I doubt if I will go there again but I do want to make an effort to correct the problem for the safety of other diners.

Always a hit in my book!!!!!. I have read many reviews on Urban Spoon about Local 463. The reviews tend to be slightly mixed between absolute adoration of the experience, to less than satisfied to say the least. I have to say that personally I enjoy every visit to this restaurant. The atmosphere may be slightly loud, but this in my opinion can't be placed as a fault of the restaurant (who is making the noise?... The other guests.... and this to me seems to suggest that good conversation must be taking place while enjoying a great meal... I see nothing wrong with that)... Every time I have the chance to make it to Local 463 to eat I am never dissapointed with the special dishes being offered (it's what I usually end up ordering instead of something off the menu)... There is a great selection of wines to order off the menu to compliment every dish offered.... The servers are always friendly and smiling.... And although I am in a restaurant, I feel very much at home sitting at a Local 463 table with my friends enjoying a great dish and a bottle of wine.... I always leave with a full belly and a smile on my face.... Thank you to Local 463 for consistantly great experiences. ;-)

We have eaten at463 twice in the last two weeks. Both nights they were out of one of the specials we ordered. Each night we also ordered something that we never got. Tonight our waiter spilled our wine and we never got our bread. The food was good but the service was POOR (on both visits). We will not be returning.
SWall
Portabella fries. They're a killer with the comeback sauce.

RESPONSE TO KEL. I was also dining at Local 463 this evening while "kel" was there, and he was simply a rude and unhappy man in general. The food was phenomenol, as well as the wait staff. My wife and I were treated very well. We highly recommend the restaurant!

Great food and nice atmospher try the 463 burger or the lamb meatloaf
GG
Just finished dinner there & it was FABULOUS! Much better than Atlantica for the price. Highly reccomend the redfish & bread pudding!

Very Dissappointing. Wow, I hate to say this, but the hype for 463 is too much. I was glad to see more choices in Madison out side of all the commercial nonsense, but this was a major let down. The service is poor and I thought they might just be working through the kinks. But 2 weeks later I returned for drinks and apps and the service was poor again. The food was cold and not the same as it was the week before, although both times the food was cold.

I still prefer the Strawberry Cafe down the street!

Misleading. My family and I went there for lunch. While my husband and daughter enjoyed their selections, i was visibly disappointed. The Monte Cristo is a vintage sandwich. That particular day, I wanted to experience my memories of this sandwich. I was even willing to have something "fried"; I normally avoid fried foods. The description on the menu was right in line with my memories. What a disappointment. My sandwich was nothing but a grilled turkey and cheese sandwich--no appropriate condiment adorned the sandwich, no crusty coating, and apparently just flipped on the grill. I was also told that the special condiment that was supposed to be in addition to the sandwich was not even being made. The waiter acted as if he could care less about the glaring discrepancy between the description on the menu and the presentation. The only redeeming thing about the sandwich was that the turkey was not deli-sliced but oven-roasted turkey white-meat slices. The sweet potato fries were only ordinary, also. I wrote the restaurant but was not graced with a reply. My letter was not insulting either. My conclusion is that the restaurant is indifferent.

Potential w/ Changes. Went in, grabbed a quick pizza at the bar. Pizza was one of the better ones in Jxn, atmosphere ok, but can guarantee I won't be back if this jerk bartender, Forest, is standing there with that cocky smirk on his face when I walk in!

Fantastic!. Food and service are fantastic. The daytime bartender is stunning! I can't wait to go back.

Derek Emerson has done it again! If you haven't been, this is a must for delicious food, great service, nice wine choices. Just go!

Just dessert. Just got back from Local 463 for dessert. We've eaten there before for lunches and the food was great as well, but we had an especially great experience tonight.

The bread pudding was excellent and our service was top notch. No one looked at us weird from the hostest all the way to management when we told them that we were just there for dessert.

Eat something good in Madison -- hit Local 463. Keep up the good work.

Finally in Madison

Amazing. Not sure what the "cynical chef" was referring to in his review". have eaten at "463" six times and the food was wonderful. loved the corn dog shrimp, the tamales, the crab cakes....and oh, my goodness, the scallops and the soft shell crab. for lunch, had the grilled ham and cheese sandwich...well, have had it twice now. went with a woman who teaches cooking classes in oxford and she was extremely impressed...asking the chef for his ingredients. love the place and so glad it is here in madison.

My experience at Local 463 was not the best. It was extremely noisy and crowded. A little pricey and some dishes are a little out of the norm! I hope you have a new bartender because my drink was not good. I had a martini.

Probably will not return unless I hear things have improved
HP
Inconsistent. We have eaten at UL 463 twice in the past two weeks. I do enjoy the sleek, almost modern, atmosphere. On each dinner visit the restaurant was packed and yet was able to handle the crowd. It is a welcome, mid-upscale addition to Madison. But, out of four dishes sampled by us, two were enjoyable, two were below par. We enjoyed the sunfish and the softshell crab specials. Neither of us liked the veal meatloaf (way too salty) or the duck confit (overcooked and flavorless).

Sooo Good!. Thank heavens madison has a place like 463. The food is ALWAYS excellent and the atmosphere is wonderful. All of their dishes are great and the Emersons threw in some menu options to liven things up! We eat here all the time and have NEVER had a bad meal!
Rebecca
Awesome Meal. I have been to this restaurant 4 times and the food has been wonderful!! I could not stop bragging on the presentation and the taste. The fried green tomatoes and the tamales were awesome. The service was great and the atmoshere was very appealing. I have recommended to all my friends. I love their salads and of course the fish was tremendous!!!! I Love this Restaurant!!! Great addition to Madison!!

Outstanding Dining Experiences!. I would highly recommend Local 463 as an excellent dining choice in Madison. I have eaten there on at least 4 occasions. The food was exceptional and the service excellent. I loved the different twist to the items on the menu. Everyone that I have taken there to eat had a hard time deciding what to order because of the innovative menu choices. It is awesome to have such a top-notch restaurant such as, Local 463, in Madison, MS.
Boo
This is the beat restaurant I have ever eaten at. The atmosphere was beautiful, food artfully prepared, but that isn't all the food tastes AMAZING! I could eat there every day of my life.
Monkey
With a classy atmostspere, wonderful service, and melt in your mouth entres and appetizers. I would most definitely recommened this resteraunt whether you are looking for a great place to go with your family or a fun night out with the friends! I LOVED my experience
SBarnette
Love it!. I have been to Local 463 several times and I love it and would highly recommend it. The service is excellent and the food is amazing. It is really nice to have a new place in this area that offers such an awesome dining experience. I love the atmosphere and the food can't be beat. Having grown up in New Orleans, I know what good food is and I can say, Local 463 has gotten it right!
Janice
Good, not great. I did like my experience there, but I wasn't blown away by the food. It seemed to me that it was more about the presentation than the flavor. I had a coriander-encrusted tuna special (not on the menu) that just seemed a little too weird. It sounded good, but it turned out to have whole coriander seeds on it, which was pretty overwhelming. And crunchy. Luckily this was just a special for the night, and hopefully it won't be one they serve again. Decided to try again another night and had the Duck confit on the menu, and thought it was delicious. House salad was a little too weird for me. Portabello fries were really good. Creme brulee and bread budding are both excellent.

I thought the service was good both times, but the servers don't seem to have tried much of the food themselves. I know it's a newer restaurant, but I expect the person serving me to know something about what some of the food tastes like. One comment we heard was "WHEN I get to eat here, I'm going to try this first." WHEN? you work here! I've worked in fine dining for a long time, and that just seems wrong to me.

Anyway, the place looks great- lots of new renovations from what it was as the previous restaurant in that location. Very artistic and cool atmosphere. Very clean.
Will eat there again, but not at the top of my list.

It's Good!. Love

Loved it, I had the fish of the day which was a Hawaiian sun fish the preparation was great. Fried green tomatoes with crayfish will make you slap your momma. Grits are really good the seemed to be a course stone grind. Best dessert on the menu was Bread Pudding I have had this across the doth and this was tops. Learned from the head chiefs wife while getting a hair cut that it was his recipe he should be proud I rate the bread pudding A+

The menu at Local 463 is the brainchild of Chef Derek Emerson and wife & partner Jennifer. The restaurant sources local ingredients to create a menu of southern comfort food with a big city spin. Since we got there before 6 pm we were able to get an appetizer of our choice half off. My co-worker Sheila chose the Stuffed Crispy Avocado. It was a deep fried avocado with shrimp remoulade and a basil vinaigrette on a crispy tortilla and romaine salad. My mom chose the Tamales with sweet corn sauce, fresh pico de gallo, and a chipotle-lime sour cream. We all shared the appetizers. I'm not a fan of tamales in general but they were better than any other tamale I've ever tried. The crispy avocado was good but I could have just eaten an entire bowl of the romaine and tortilla with the basil vinaigrette and been happy. For the entree my mom chose the Florida Rock Shrimp & Fried Green Tomato Pizza. It came with Fontina cheese, fresh mozzarella, and Duroc bacon lardons with a Romesco sauce. Sheila
