Steak-out

It typically takes about 50 tries to get them on the phone. Then the steaks get burned to a leathery crisp regardless of how they’re ordered. I’ve been ordering from Steak Out since the Eighties.Their cooks used to be really good and cared how each steak was cooked. Now it seems they just cook them all the same (burned). The last four times in a row, steaks ordered and marked as medium-rare have consistently been cooked far beyond well done (black on the outside, gray in the center, and very tough and dry). I called to let the manager know of the issue, and he mailed me a $10 gift card for an $18 steak. I keep paying a premium price for a steak that is so overcooked it has to be thrown away, and they won’t give a refund. Instead, they send a gift card that covers half the price of each overcooked steak that has to be thrown away. They have successfully managed to run off a very loyal customer.

Usually very very good, but kinda disappointed tonight and talked with an employee about it. Took way longer than it ever has. Said was near end of night but we ordered way before closing ,was quoted 15-20 minutes waited over an hour after paying .... Steak was very dry I had to remind the girls we were outside wait. They seemed to forget we could see them from the car but scrambled to get our order , I feel like we were forgotten and rushed to put order together. We watched one employee leave with three large bags of food for himself not a delivery but we were told ours was late cause of backup on the grill ???

Food is great and not a long wait once the food is ordered. However, my wife and I have taken note that we have to call over 30 times to reach them (if we are lucky) on multiple occasions. We even tried to call right after 5PM last time, but were still not able to reach anyone for over an hour so we went somewhere else. Probably won’t be going there anymore, because what’s the point of we have to wait hours.

Disclosing up front that the only complaint is the inability to get through on the phone at times and no way to order online or via mobile app. Having said that I have never had a bad meal. Any mistakes in order delivery have always been pleasantly rectified. The price point for the food is good. Carry out experiences are just as good as delivery.
