Waffle House

I've only been to waffle house once before and it was 7 years ago. My wife and I went for dinner and got takeout to bring it home. Everything was AMAZING. I knew the waffles were great because that's what I had tried before. The waffle I got did not disappoint. I got biscuits and gravy. It was the very last of the gravy they had that night so it was more thick than usual but it was still good. If the gravy was fresh it would have been incredible. My wife got a chicken hash brown bowl and it was amazing how good it was. The chicken was tender and seasoned perfectly. Waffle house really surprised us with how good it all was. We were expecting average breakfast food and we were presently surprised with how good it all was.

I don’t understand why during Covid I have had such persistent difficulty getting this Waffle House on the phone for to go orders. I live 5 minutes away and have to place orders with other waffle houses further away or go somewhere else all because this location doesn’t want my money. Why hasn’t an online ordering system been put in place if they don’t want to answer phones?

everytime i call this particular location they never answer the phone so then a recorded message normally says something like in order to place a to go order you must come in or dine in so we tried that and the door was locked and they told us to place the order over the phone ... HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO THAT IF YALL WONT ANSWER? will definitely be calling corporate about this particular location because this isn’t the first time

We haven't eaten in the restaurant yet, but we got food to-go. It's so weird because it's not like all the food was immaculate and super flavorful, but at the same time it was all SO GOOD. It is the perfect comfort food. I got the grilled chicken melt hashbrown bowl and biscuits and gravy. The hasbrown bowl was good, the biscuits were good. I liked the flavor of the gravy, but the texture was super thick. Thicker than I would like my gravy to be, but I am wondering if it was because it may have been the last of what they had left at the time. My husband got a waffle and it was so fluffy and sweet. Everything was so good!
