Stopped by for a quick lunch the other day. It was super crowded and I almost walked out. Lucky for me I didn't. I was seated quickly and ordered a chicken clay pot. I was thinking very skeptically about how long it was going to take. As I sat there I noticed how quick customer turnover was. It was all very quick and efficient. Much quicker than I expected my food was in front of me. Before I dug in, once again I was skeptical about how this was going to taste(I was having a rough day and expecting the worst at every turn). It was Awesome! I devoured my meal, paid and was out the door for what must be record time during the lunch rush in Madison. I haven't been there around dinner time, but I know I'll be having lunch there again soon.
Cold rain dampens your soul and you desperately need hot, delicious nourishment. From the gloom shines promise of savory comfort food.... Saigon!
The house special pho is a wonderfully meaty rich broth packed full of exotic yet homey tastes. Rice noodles await beneath to complete this addictively yummy dish.
Many more treasures await discovery on their menu - and this was only my first time here. Can't wait to return!
My husband and I have happily eaten here for several years. I've had numerous noodle soups and they are always tasty and fresh.
Definitely a treat!. I love Saigon! this is in no way a fancy place but the food is unbelievable! I greatly limit the amount of grains in my diet so eating here is a treat in more ways than one. When I'm really feeling like rewarding myself I will head to Saigon for a clay pot full of sizzling rice and tasty morsels of meat, seafood and vegetables. The trick with the clay pot is let it sit without disturbing the rice on the bottom until you can't stand it. It's worth the wait though, you'll be rewarded with rice that is slightly crunchy on one side with just a bit of caramelization and plenty of tastebud happiness. My other go to at Saigon is the Pho, whichever variety I choose for the day, there's something fun about being able to customize my bowl with the jalapenos, basil, lime and other goodies and get exactly what I want. Don't get me wrong, all Pho is not created equal, there has to be a good base and Saigon has it. Their "broth" is not lacking in flavor on its own but it is nowhere near salty and still remains light with the rice noodles slightly firm and thankfully not pasty or falling apart. It's sometimes a coin toss to decide which to have.

Excellent!!! Rice clay pots are my favorite: super-heated clay pots filled with rice and your choice of meat and veggies. Second favorite is the soup! They've got a couple great soups that come in amazing portions!
Saigon is the best (and only) Vietnamese restaurant in Madison, but second to Viet Huong, just 15 min away. That said, if Viet Huong is a 10 then Saigon is a 9. The food is always amazing and freshly prepared with high quality ingredients. You can't go wrong with just about any menu choice and the price is just right. This restaurant is one of our family favorites and Sunday lunch choices. The do a brisk business during weekday lunch, but sundays are quiet quick to get seated since the rest of Madison are eating at the Mexican restaurants and Chinese Buffett feeding troughs.
OMDG... Best Viet within 800 miles.. Went today with some colleagues. The place was packed. I guess the secret is out. I usually go for the Bun Cha, but today the waitress suggested the Singapore Rice Noodles.
One of the best meals of my life. Absolutely splendidly made. Freshly stir fried, spiced tremendously, with chicken, shrimp, and paper thin pork. Curry and chili (the latter added by me to taste) blend to make culinary delight.
I've had Singapore Rice Noodles at other restaurants, but this was completely in another league.
Viet-Huong is, well, /* okay */, but Saigon is fantastic.
Oh, and it was $8.50.
They also have the best Crab Rangoon around, too. Not terribly Viet, but tasty goodness.
The food & service are both excellent. I had the pork & eggroll with rice vermicelli & it was wonderful! Our server was very attentive & the food was brought to our table quickly. We will definitely be going back to Saigon!
Best Vietnamese in Huntsville. Authentic Vietnamese. The Mi Hoanh Thanh (M3) is some of the best I've ever had anywhere. Much better than the other Vietnamese place in town BY FAR!!!
The food is great! Service was excellent. Short wait time.
Saigon has been one of our favorites for a long time. It’s conspicuously located in a not so busy shopping mall but it’s worth the visit every time. The food & service are always both very good and consistent. The owner here knows our order as soon as we walk in the door which says a lot about them and remembering their customers. The clay pots are awesome and come out of the kitchen very quickly. I love that the sodas come from cans and not from a soda fountain so the carbonation and taste is always fresh. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Very courteous staff very attentive and eager to serve. The prices and pricing are modest and it's nice when you have appetizers like shrimp spring rolls.
The soups were delicious and everything tasted very fresh and well prepared I really enjoyed it and will be back thank you Saigon.
Pho was and always is great. Service was fast and food came out hot and tasty. My wife had the fried rice and she loved it as well. This is a great go to spot.
Amazing staff. Super friendly. Great food.
great pho with very fresh vegetables. almost the similar taste with one in Toronto near Warden and Steel
Truly a hidden gem in Madison! Their clay pots are amazing, and the service is quick and efficient.
