An excellent movie and dinner theatre. Very affordable craft brews, around $5, with fantastic options. I had a chocolate stout which was smooth, malty, and awesome, but there were hoppy beers and tons of other beers made on-site. We ordered a Philadelphia pizza. The crust was delicious, crisp, and just the right thinness. The toppings were generously portioned and delicious. We had the spicy pickles for an app, and they were obviously hand battered, with house made ranch. Just a hint of heat, so much flavor, and excellently crisp and juicy. We had the carrot cake for dessert, and it was perfect. The cream cheese frosting was, based on the texture, also house made, and had a fantastic texture and flavor. The cake was moist and every bite scrumptious. The service was awesome and the waitress super friendly. We'll definitely be back. $5 Wednesdays are a steal!
Update. Visit #2 was just as good!
Wow. Service was good the food was plenty and I even liked the beer. Highly suggest this new concept for a movie and a movie ! Nice job
Excellent and helpful staff, very clean bar and theater area. The staff went out of their way for several different people while we were there so they could taste different beers before purchase while already in the theater. The food is very good and purchasing a bottle of wine during a long Marvel movie is extremely satisfying!
I didn’t eat here, didn’t know this whole food at a theater idea was a thing. I plan to eat here in the future. Haven’t been to a Movie in at least a decade. They had really nice powered leather recliners. The fact that they are serving food means you’re spaced out pretty far from the people in front and behind you. I was worried I’d be able to hear people eating and stuff but I didn’t notice them at all. It was a little loud so if you a sensitivity to that maybe bring ear plugs. I was right in the first row though so it might not be so loud in back. I only went because it’s a tradition to see these movie, JP, when they come out. I decided I’m actually going back again today though to see another movie. It’s a good way to cool down on a hot day. It only cost me $10 for the matinee.
I came in to see the new Batman movie. My server Jeremy was awesome! Super attentive! I tried the Gotham city pizza that was created specifically for the new release, and I don't know if they are doing something different with their pizzas, but it was amazing!!! Every time I come to see a movie here, the staff is always so welcoming and helpful. On top of that, it is hands down the cleanest movie theater in the Madison area! Highly recommend giving it a try if you have never been before!
Absolutely love Flix! The food is always great, good selection of beer, and the servers are very friendly. One of my favorite places in Madison. So happy they were able to reopen after Covid.
To all the people complaining of not being allowed in late, this is not like other theatres due to the food ordering and it's structured differently, that's why they recommend you come early for showtime. Also to people complaining about gratuity- really?
Wonderful experience every time we go. We like both the recent releases and the movies that are on special showings, like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. The food, drinks, atmosphere and waitstaff are awesome.
Most of the 1 star reviews talk about strict no late admit policies and age restrictions on young children — it’s those reasons that make it such a fun time.
If I could change one thing it would be to have a row or two of the recliners higher up. The first three rows sometimes offer a poorer view than I’d like, but I don’t enjoy the traditional seats that the rest of the hall has.
This place exceeded my expectations. I thought there was only a screen or two but it turns out they have several so there is many options for movies.
The bar had a nice selection of beer.
The food was delish.
The staff was super friendly.
I certainly will be back.
