What a quaint little place with a steep steep incline to shuffle up to get to the door. It’s a pay for something and you may get what you paid for, but you sure ain’t gonna get your money back if you don’t. Don’t order grilled onions from here. They come out raw and the waitress will just have a look of no sense on her face instead of trying to correct it. Ask a waitress for a coke, get told I have to choose between tea or water even though I already paid for said coke. This was after walking in and only getting one half filled cup of coke to drink that had to last my whole meal. It didn’t. It was empty before my food even for there. Waitress didn’t care nor ask if I needed anything then. Ask for a coke to go before I even pay. Waitress says yes, take my money. Then I get told I have tea and water as my only options. Be prepared to wait an hour— it’s not because of the cooks or waiting in line. No, you can find a seat quite fast. It’s because of the awful service. I wish this was an exaggeration, but it isn’t. I watched my food be in the window for 15 minutes. I timed my empty glass of ice for over 30 minutes, not once was I offered anything.

Southern style food. They were great to grill my porkchop instead of frying it. Pork Chop quality is inconsistent, mashed potatoes are great. Fried Okra is always fresh and hot. Ranch dressing is some of the better ranches from restaurants. Service has always been friendly. Never been there while they were busy, so cannot speak to service during a rush. I typically order from their daily menu.

Small, local diner with big, delicious burgers! Driving through and wanted a small, hometown place for lunch. This fits the bill! It was spotless, and the service was great. The burgers were thick and juicy, the fries were good too. And that great-tasting generic store-brand ketchup. We shared a piece of chocolate pie. It was yummy! They have daily specials too that sounded great. If you’re in Madill, or just passing through, I highly recommend Country Kitchen.

My husband and I went for breakfast at the Madill location this past Sunday. It all looked good when it arrived at table however the hash browns were rubbery, biscuits and pancakes are packaged and not good. (Why dont ppl just make scratch? Not hard or expensive smh). Even the fried eggs didnt taste good. I didnt know a fried egg could taste anything but good, somehow they managed it. I have no feedback about other dishes, maybe a bad day to go? Either way this was my experience and it was enough to make slme not return
