What a great experience! My husband and I bought this on a whim, as we were celebrating our anniversary with a little getaway trip to the beach for the weekend. We decided to book the Calypso Breeze sunset cruise with dinner and open bar. Open bar options included select beer options and rum punch. The rum punch did not disappoint! Overall, it was a great experience! Everyone seemed to have a great time. The boat is 3-levels with 2-interior dining rooms (bottom floor with a live musician, and 2nd floor with a DJ), along with 2 dance floors. The top deck is open for great views, and turned out to be the party spot to be! It was like being at a wedding, with everyone dancing and just enjoying themselves! The staff was super friendly and accommodating - we truly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend if you're looking for something with bottomless drinks, music, dancing, and great scenic views!
Whe had a GREAT time cruising around Boca Ciega Bay on the Calypso breeze. We did the lunch buffet and being someone that is usually scared of the word buffet I was pleasantly surprised. The food was very good and was fresh. They had a good amount of choices as well so there was something for all of us. The rum punch, beer, and wine (as well as soft drinks) are all included in the buffet. The rum punch was good and not a watered down version you'd expect with free drinks. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be doing this again it was alot of fun and very reasonably priced!!
We were seeded on the lowest level. It was nice to be at the water level to watch the dolphins 🐬. The food was alright not great. The service was excellent.
We had a great time on Calypso Breeze. Fun thing to do for any occasion. It seems like there were lots of birthdays and anniversaries on board and everyone was ready to have some fun. Very nice smooth ride, boat a little dated but comfortable. We purchased the dinner package. Unfortunately, we had a big lunch so didn't try much of the food, shrimp was good though. Several options like salad, chicken, pork, fish, shrimp, potatoes, beef, Mac and cheese, etc. Unlimited free rum punch, beer and wine, also other drinks for purchase. Our server Billy was very fun. Spent most of the time on the top deck, great views, saw lots of dolphins when taking off, got to dance a little, watched sunset (the boat stayed in the intercoastal not Gulf side). We'll definitely do this again, we'll skip the dinner next time and just do the cruise and purchase drinks at the bar.
Our 2nd dinner on the Calypso Breeze and our 5th trip overall by ourself or with our friends. This was a wonderful excursion with a beautiful cool breeze but a lackluster sunset. The food was great as always as was the staff.
Very nice tour and lovely lunch with some good options. Since it's a buffet, you can actually try it all. Drinks are included, soft and alcohol. The young lady serving us was delightful. Air conditioned dinning and and an open top deck for more viewing. Just be aware that parking has gone up at John's Pass.
