Service was very friendly even though they were short staffed. Drink mug was huge! Atmosphere was small but quaint. Spinach Soup was delicious and flavorful. The Orange chicken and ginger chicken were perfect. Sushi was fresh, although I think it needed a little more flavor sauces or something… the spicy mayo wasn’t very spicy but overall pretty good. Would recommend if you’re looking for a local Thai with a cozy/ relaxed feel.

What a wonderful place, good food and prices. The only draw back is I wish they serve better quality of rice, either Jasmine or sushi rice on non Japanese dishes. Other than that, it is a good place to have a nice meal.

Me and my families absolute FAVORITE Thai place!! We come here as often as we possibly can. Family owned and deliciously fresh food every time! Top favorites include Green Curry, papaya salad, shrimp/veggie tempura and sushi. However everything is totally rave worthy. Take a trip to them and enjoy! 😋

Love the beef noodle soup and the coconut noodle soup with shrimp and chicken. It's a sour type soup with pineapple sweetness and a touch of spice. Delicious!

We have been eating at Thai Star for years now. The food quality is just plain incredible. You can’t beat their papaya salad. Normally I get the Peanut Sauce cause it’s just so dang good but I switched it up a little last night. Hubby got the Pineapple fried rice and he loved it. It’s an all around amazing experience eating there. Always enjoyable, always delicious

I have been going to this restaurant for many years. And it am pleased every time. The food is fresh and delicious. The service is friendly and swift. My favorite Thai restaurant in the Tampa Bay Area. I love their curries. This time I had panang curry with duck...it was a very generous amount of duck meat. Fresh rolls with tofu were fresh!!! Love everything😍 Thank you for keeping it great❤️

The sushi is so fresh it melts is your mouth! Excellent combination of ingredients in the specialty rolls, too. Golden Dragon roll, Sexy Lady, Big Daddy were our choice - pictures attached. The Phad Thai was served with shrimp per our choice, and the shrimp were fresh as well, the noodles nor the sprouts weren't overcooked - well-made dish with nutty, tangy sweet and sour flavor.

I'm sure the food at Thai Star is 5 stars but unfortunately we never got to taste it. We walked 0.9 miles from our beach rental to the Thai Star for lunch one day. We arrived at 11:35 AM and their "OPEN" sign was on and their Google Business Page said they were open at 11:30 AM that day but the door was locked. After a minute or two, a man, who I am assuming was the owner or manager, unlocked the door and told us he was waiting on the cook to show up. He then locked the door back up and left us to wait outside, in the Florida heat. A few minutes later, the man came back to the door, unlocked it, stepped outside, locked the door from the outside, got in his vehicle and left the establishment without saying so much as a word to us. The whole encounter was very odd and unprofessional. We proceeded down the road to find another eatery, as it was too hot and we were too hungry to wait for the man to return. We quickly found Frabotta's Beach Kitchen another minute or two down the road, where they welcomed us inside a few minutes before they officially opened, offered great service and tasty food. I would recommend the Fish Spread for starters.
